They don't cut for your pity.
Or for your sympathy.
They cut because it helps them forget why they started crying.
The bleeding...
The sharpness of the blade...
The physical pain helps drown out the emotional pain.

I wish there was a better way for them to forget.
A way less painful than this.

I strongly believe that emotional pain is way worse than physical pain ever could be.
I'd rather be bruised and scarred than broken.
