Like the dull grey, far similar to the beard of an old man, showing signs of experience and wisdom, the night sky too looked as if it knew it all. Knew all that was going to go down in the city it shadowed, knew everything about the citizens it over looked, knew it all.
The streets slowly getting filtered of its pedestrians as some retire to the local bar to drink out their sorrows, some refresh their minds by lazily lounging about the local park while others to their families awaiting back home. The Jeju bridge, with its serene and scenic beauty of a river flowing underneath, was quite the visual for those heading home. Many could be seen stopping, be it for a moment, to close their eyes and think about the what ifs of life. After a while though, all would open their eyes as if having had some counselling of sorts done by the river itself, and looking content they would head home.
Among them stood a boy, staring at the water flowing beneath, barely breathing. His attire was dark, hoodie pulled up, hands in his pocket, he stared. Eyes piercing into the water, glaring at the pearly white foams, the distorted reflection of the moon. His breaths came out short, angry one might say. Looking away for he got no answer in return, like usual, he bows his head down and takes his route home. The vibration of his mobile broke him from his reverie as he fished out the beeping device.

Jimin : Will you make it today?

He sighs and shuts off his mobile, stuffs it in his pocket and continues on his way home when his cell pinged yet again.

Jimin : Everyone will make it..please.

The pinging did not stop there..

Jimin : Like old times..

Giving in, he sighs, this Jimin will never change will he, he thinks as he changes his paths, taking a different one towards the Jeju market place.

The place was almost empty except for the vendors packing everything up for the night. They chatted amongst themselves over the sales of the day, some content with theirs while others sighed hoping for a better tomorrow. He saw the florist shopkeeper pulling on the shutters of his shop and walked faster before he could pull it all down.
"We're all closed, come back tomorrow." Said the owner in a gruff voice as he tried pulling on to the shutters to close it.
"One flower wont hurt you, please, I really need it. I'll even help you pull that shutter, come on, you know you need my help." The boy said.
"Fine boy, but you better not run after you get that flower." Replied the florist as he opened the shop and got him what he wanted. As promised, the boy helped the man and walked on ahead.

He walked on through the market until he came upon the once familiar street. This street held so many memories, this very street he tried to avoid for the pain was just too much, the pain that shattered him. He could still hear the laughter, it echoed in his mind as if a distant memory, which it was, but the sad thing about this was that the people within the said memory had become more distant than the memory itself. Swallowing that lump, he walks forward till he reaches a house which defies the mood of the sky. The sky was that dull grey, while the house shined with its sparkly festive lights, laughter and the sound of slow music that came from within. Sighing one last time, he rings the doorbell, hoping that they dont hear the bell and not open it. But that was not meant to be, as the door creaks open to reveal a smiling girl. She gasped with surprise as she saw him, then proceeded without hesitating to hug the said boy.

He hugged her back, letting go only after she had pulled back, the beaming smile now even more evident on her face.
"Come on in, everyone will be ecstatic to know that you are here." She said pulling the sleeve of his hoodie and dragging him along with it.
"Guys, check it out, look who finally decided to show his face." Said the girl as she dragged him to a hall filled with people. Everyone cheered and huddled together all at once, trying to squish the life out of the poor boy. The boy was to blame for this though, you dont show your face for ages and then show up all of a sudden, that will not earn you a pat on the back mate, you have to undergo the deadly hug when you pull that stunt.
They all then released him and he was shot with questions left and right.
"Guys, calm down, he is staying here for long now, we wont let him out of our sight, you guys can talk to him all you want." Said the girl who had dragged him into this hall.
