As I sit it in the car, I look out the glossy window and watch the blurry picture of dark green trees and glistening water rush past me. I close my eyes peacefully, feeling us glide over the smooth black road underneath us. All of a sudden, it randomly hits me; I never even asked my mum where we were moving.
"Mum, I never got to ask. Where are we moving?" I ask confused.
She gives me a quick glare before turning to look back onto the long road ahead of her.
"Not far".

As the car trip gets longer and longer, my mothers words begin to repeat in my head.
'Not far'.
Where are we going? I swear, if she decides to drive us all the way to Washington or somewhere over there, I will be so annoyed.
THATS SO FAR AWAY.
I hope that Winter is as nice as Mississippi; wherever we're going; all snow and ice, frost breath, snow angels, hot cocoa in front of a fireplace... I melt with happiness at just the slightest thought of it all. As I close my eyes tighter, I begin to drift off to sleep...

I wake up lying on a dirty, creme coloured floor... at a school? I stand up hastily and lean against the old blue lockers that suddenly appear beside me and I take a deep breath.
How did I get here?
I decide to start walking and check out the place.

Suddenly, I am transported into the girls' bathroom.
Okay... That was weird, I swear I was just in the halls...?
I turn around to see myself staring back at me through the lipstick stained mirror above the basins. I am instantly drawn to my eyes, which are glowing a very vibrant blue tinted white, with a glowing icy blue surrounding it, fading out into a deeper shade of blue.

What is wrong with my eyes?

I slowly start to pace myself towards the mirror, glaring confused at my new eyes...

**********

I unexpectedly wake up, and I am completely confused and weirded out. That seemed too real.
That was a weird dream,  compared to my normal dreams which are usually creepy clowns trying to murder me or an elephant tries to sit on me or some crazy crap like that.

"Honey, are you okay? You woke up a little hastily" My mum speaks, giving me a quick worried look before turning back to the road.
"Yeah... Just a bit of a weird dream. That's all" I reply, reassuring her I was okay.

A couple hours of car tunes and windy roads later we finally come to a halt at a gas station.
Finally! I really need to pee.
I hop out of the car with my mum and walk into the station, and I head straight for the bathrooms.

As I walk out of the restroom sighing in relief, I see my mum holding a stash of chips and lollies and a couple bottles of water, struggling to keep them all balanced in her arms. I look up at her and she gives me a nice cheesy smile before heading swiftly to the register. I follow her to the register still stunned, my jaw slightly hanging open.

"What? I am getting quite hungry, and I want to pig out and watch Netflix as soon as we get to the new house!" My mum says excitedly, grinning widely.

My mum is still such a child at heart and can be so embarrassing sometimes. I seriously think my mother's body grew up without her, she is still hanging at around 18. It's hilarious.

As soon as we get back into the car and after my mum fills the gas we are back on the road again. I instantly pull out the bags of chips and lollies and start scoffing them down like a crazy woman. Hey, don't judge! I didn't have breakfast, okay?

It's about 2 hours later, and I am absolutely fed up with this car now. Its so small, I can barely breath.
"How much longer?! I am dying!" I complain, not able to take it any longer. "And I want to know WHERE we are going!"
She sighs in defeat and slows the car down slightly to talk to me.

"Okay. I give up"

I stare at her amazed that she actually gave in that quickly.
"We are heading to Florida. I bought a good size house there, and its close to a well educated high school"

Florida? Okay, now I am annoyed. No more nice Winters, cocoa by the fire place while snow pours outside, no more free school days because of the crazy snow, no snow angels. This is preposterous! Well, at least it isn't all the way at Washington.

Finally we reach Florida, and my mother begins to get excited.

"Lighten up! You will love the new house!" She says, trying to get me to pucker up, but I don't budge.

We drive past the high school that I am apparently going to, and it actually doesn't look too bad of a school; well considering my schools were mostly made up of crap, crap and oh, would you look at that? More crap.

About 5 or 10 minutes down the road was a beautiful beach with nicely sized homes lined neatly across the edge of the sand.
"We're here!" My mother declares, and I am amazed. She bought a beach house!

Hello! It's Hakuna here, obviously. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has started to read my story, it helps me to continue writing and it gives me motivation!
Also I really wanted to point out that I AM AUSTRALIAN so yes, I spell Mom: Mum, and I say Lollies instead of Candy. Also again, as I live in Australia, I am sorry if I get any facts wrong about these states. I looked up a map of where Georgia, Washington and Mississippi are and stuff so at least I am correct there!
Hope you enjoy the story guys, remember to vote and comment!
