Wow. How in the hell did my mum scoop up the money for this place? Its beautiful! As the car comes to a halt on our sandy, concrete driveway, my mother looks over to me with a hopeful look planted on her face.

"So do you like it?!" She says quite loudly, trying hard to contain her overwhelming excitement. I droop my face and look over to her, tricking her; her own face then starts to droop.

"I-" I start with a gloomy expression before unexpectedly literally ripping the car door open and running up to the steps and gasp in amazement. My mother laughs from inside the car before grabbing the food and following me up to the steps.

"You got me there, Mia. You really did" She says breathing quite deeply and holding her chest from her sudden heart attack.
I waltz up the stairs and stare at the deep mahogany doors standing in my path.

"Keys?" I ask my mum and she chucks them up the stairs to me. I fiddle with the keys in its lock until it clicks, and I stare at my mother.

This is it.

Here we go.

I am gonna go now.

Anytime soon.

"Anytime now, Honey" My mum gleams at me and I jolt back to reality.
I turn the door handle and swing the door open slowly, squinting my eyes not prepared for the sight that beholds behind this very door.

I am speechless. Absolutely and utterly speechless. The house is gorgeous. It is so gorgeous that if you compared it side by side with Zac Efron, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Okay, over exaggeration there. NOTHING is more hot or amazing than Zac Efron, but you get the point.

"Oh. My. God. This is...-"
"Gorgeous? Amazing? Too good to be true? A dream?" My mother says sarcastically, knowing what I meant. I roll my eyes and chuckle at her as she smiles sweetly at me before placing the heavenly sweets down next to the door.

"Go explore the house! I will go get our stuff" she offers. I nod happily and turn back towards the luxurious house in front of me.

Below my feet is a newly polished, shiny wooden floor, and and all the walls in the house are a delicate cream colour. To my right is a large room with a soft, fluffy, creme coloured carpet followed by another smaller creme carpeted room to my left. I waltz down the hallway to find a small hallway with a bathroom, a closet and a door, probably leading to the garage downstairs. As I walk out and continue through the house, I find the kitchen, a large living area and another hallway. I walk into it, and I open one out of three white doors. Obviously these are the bedrooms, all carpeted like the other rooms.

"So, how is it?" I suddenly hear a gentle familiar female voice ask from behind me. I turn around to face her, and answer.

"It's amazing. Thank you, mum".
My mother smiles sweetly before handing me my luggage from the car.

"Which is your room?"

I giver her an undecided look and swivel around to face the bedrooms. I walk over to each room and open the door, taking a look at each one before stepping back and giving a final decision. I point to the one on the far right of the hall and my mother nods and heads into the kitchen. I walk into my new room with thoughts bubbling throughout my brain.

New school, new home and...

Oh god. I have to actually MAKE FRIENDS.
Ugh. Life's a bitch, isn't it?

Suddenly I hear my mother start to slightly yell at someone in the kitchen. I walk out of my room and peek around the corner, eavesdropping.

"What?"
"..."
"The moving truck wont be here until Tuesday?"

The moving truck wont be here until Tuesday? Oh no. That's not good. That's in two days!

"Sorry for the inconvenience? Seriously? My goodness. Whatever. Thank you sir for the call"

My mother then ends the call then slams the phone down onto the counter. She then groans in frustration as she rubs her tired face.

"Hey mum. Is everything okay? I overheard you yelling?" I ask shuffling over to her.

"Turns out the moving truck won't be here until Tuesday. I'm really sorry, honey" she states, annoyed.
I frown at her and step forward, embracing her in a hug.

"It's okay, mum. But look on the bright side! We have a nice big beautiful home, in Florida, I am enrolled at an obviously amazing and beautifully educated High School, and we are both alive and healthy. Some people don't even have a home, or a family, living on the streets, probably sick" I say honestly. "At least I have my nice comfy bed, so that's a good thing"

My mother breaks from the hug and places her hands on my shoulders and stares deeply into my dark blue eyes.

"You remind me so much of your father" she randomly blurts, her face drooping. "He was always so positive and generous and kind. What did we do to deserve you?"
She kisses my forehead before embracing me in a big hug once again.
