Alright, so now that I've re-read my past 3 chapters I see how sloppily they were written...but, I'm going to try and go back and fix that, to clear up any confusion it may have caused! But, until then, enjoy the next chapter!!

Jamie raced to his room and, fueled by pure rage, practically tore his room apart.

His stuffed dolls, that consisted of a bunny, a bird, Santa, a golden cloud that had "dream good things" inscribed on it, and a snowflake, were ripped from his bed.

Jamie peeled off his coat and kicked his shoes off, then dove under his covers. Pulling the comforter sheet over his head, he sobbed.

Jack didn't keep his promise. Jack didn't care. He never did.

Jamie paused, where had those thoughts come from?

Jamie was a reasonable kid. He was also an optimist. So why did he think Jack didn't care? Jamie knew Jack cared, and that Jack probably was held up with guardian duty to do much of any snow-conjuring.

Wiping his wet face with the sleeve of his shirt, Jamie crawled out from underneath the covers and sat silently on his bed.

Realizing that, since it wasn't a snow day, he still had school, Jamie sighed and left his room. His mother would get angry if he didn't eat breakfast before going to school. He shuffled to the kitchen and made himself some toast.

"Oh! Jamie, I almost forgot to tell you! There no school today because of the ice covering the roads. I have to take Sophie to the doctor, I think she's getting a cold...anyway, I'll be back in a few hours. Don't go outside, don't answer the door, and don't answer the phone unless it's me or Grandma. You hear me, young man?" Jamie's mother rattled off to the boy as she frantically searched for something (Jamie assumed it was a pair of earrings.)

"Yes, mom. Be careful. " he called after his mom had found what she was looking for and dashed out the door with Sophie trailing behind her.

Jamie finished off his toast and put his dirty plate in the sink. He was disappointed, again, but at least he didn't have any school today. Maybe Jack would even stop by while his mom was gone.

Jamie made his way to his room, hoping Jack would stop by later.

Jack looked through Jamie's window to see his toys cast around haphazardly and his bed sheets all rumpled up.

"Man...I really messed up this time..." Jack mumbled. He felt horrible for not keeping his promise to Jamie, even if it was by accident.

The guardian of fun had come to apologize to Jamie, and also to tell him that Pitch was back. No, Jack didn't want to scare the boy, but he felt it was best to at least warn the kid just in case something weird happened when Jack wasn't around.

When Jack finally saw Jamie appear at the top of the stairs and head to his room, Jack began to tap on the window. Jamie noticed instantly and ran to unlock the window.

"Jamie, I am so sorry! I really did keep my promise, it's just that for down reason Pitch is back and he melted all of the snow I created- twice, and I am SO sorry-" he was cut off when he felt small arms around his waist. Sighing in relief, Jack hugged Jamie back, "You aren't mad?"

"No. Well...I mean...I was-" Jack slumped, looking disappointed, "but, not anymore. "

Jack perked up and jumped for joy, "I'm so glad! I thought for sure that you-"

"Wait, did you say Pitch is back?!" Jamie interrupted.

The guardian's celebratory mood ceased instantly, "Well...yeah...I didn't want to tell you... But..."

The boy looked at Jack with horror, "But I thought you defeated him!"

"We did! But...Pitch is immortal. And he regenerated. We don't know how he regenerated so quickly, but he did. And he's the one that, somehow, melted the snow I've created. "

      "Oh..."

                        ***
Pitch snarled. His plan has just begun, but was already being ruined by that...that stupid little boy.

His nightmare spider had done it's job- to bite and infect Jamie Bennett. But for some reason, the venom was failing. Jamie was supposed to be angry at Jack, but instead, the boy had forgiven him. The spider venom was flushed out of Jamie's system because he had resisted it. Unfortunately.

And if it wasn't even more convenient, the trust between the guardians had somehow become repaired. As if the distrust had never existed.

Pitch black pinched the bridge of his nose. Couldn't just one of his plans work?

And that's when it hit him.

If Jamie couldn't be affected...why not have one of his spiders infect Jack? The more Pitch thought about it, the more he liked it. Why hasn't he done this in the first place? This plan could go one of two ways: it could either convert Jack to Pitch's side though hatred and distrust...or it could destroy Jack so Pitch wouldn't have a real...threat... Once he gained enough strength to take of the world again.

     Yes...yes, this could work.

The boogeyman called off his nightmares. No more snow-melting. It was time for plan B.
