We spent the next couple of hours at the Gallagher's, talking about mostly everything. I found out Lip is in college, but staying here for the summer. V and Kev, the neighbors next door, are practically family to the Gallagher's. And I also found out that Debbie and Carl are both going to be attending the same school as me. I know a lot more, too, but I'm just really excited about the last one.
Right now we are watching television. I don't really know what we're watching, but I kept my eyes glued to the screen and tried to avoid eye contact with Carl. Lip, Ian, Fiona and Mikey left, leaving Debbie, Carl, Liam and I alone. Corbin also decided to leave, telling me he still had unpacking to do. I felt kind of bad for staying here while he went back and did work.
I felt my phone vibrate, and I reached back and grabbed it out of my pocket.

Margaret:
Where are you? When will you be home?

I looked to my side to see Debbie and Liam mesmerized by the TV, and decided to write back.

Across the street at the Gallagher's. When do you want me back?

I locked my phone and settled into the couch. I felt my phone buzz again, and read her message.

Margaret:
That's fine, please be home around 1:30 for a late lunch.

I replied a quick 'ok' and turned my phone off again. My face started to feel hot from the heat, and I decided to ask where the bathroom was to go splash some water on my skin to cool off.
"Hey, where's the bathroom?" I asked. Carl looked away from the TV to look at me.
"I'll show you," he said with his all-time famous smirk. Debbie looked at him for a moment long enough to say,
"Don't try anything, Carl."
I started to walk upstairs after Carl instructed me to, him trailing behind.
"Just saying, but I have to get back-"
I was cut off as Carl came up from behind and grabbed my wrists. He slowly and roughly pinned me against the wall, with my arms above and at the side of me head. I felt my heart start to speed up, and I could tell my face was getting red. He brought his lips closer to my face, and leaned in. He brushed past my mouth, and brushed his lips against my cheek.
"The bathroom's to your right," he whispered into my ear.
"Did you want to tell me something?" He asked, not moving. I shook my head. I exhaled the breath I didn't even know I was holding as he let go of my arms. He smirked at me, and started to leave.
"See you later," he whispered, managing to muster a wink in my direction as well. I was too shocked to say anything, and ended up waiting in that spot for another minute. Digesting what had just happened was crazy to believe it even did happened.
I headed back downstairs, and sat on the couch as if nothing had just happened. Carl snuck yet another smirk at me while Debbie wasn't looking, and I quickly turned my head back to give my attention to the glowing screen as well.
"Nice meeting you Eli," Debbie started, "but I have to go get ready since I'm hanging out with someone later."
I nodded and smiled.
"It was nice meeting you, too," I said as she stretched up off the couch, starting to make her way to the steps leading upstairs, but stopped midway.
"I'll drop Liam off in his bed for a nap," she said as she carried a sleeping Liam away.
"Hey, are you going out with that one guy I caught you makin' out with in his car?" Carl asked. I choked down laughter as Debbie rolled her eyes and continued to the second floor.
As soon as she was out of sight, Carl slid across the couch over to me and got close enough to where we were shoulder to shoulder.
"Are you even watching this?" He asks. I shake my head and laugh.
"Never was," I said in response.
He laughed too, which sounded as beautiful as him. I'd give up anything to hear it again.

We went upstairs into his room and just started asking each other questions like we were earlier. Except this time it was more of personal ones since it was just Carl and I. We sat across from each other on the floor.

"What's your favorite color?" He asked.

"Purple. Not like the dark purple but the kind of lavender purple."
