Persephone's P.O.V

I don't know why I decided to invite her to watch me fight. I just had a feeling she was trustworthy and could have some fun. Knowing the route by heart I had no problems getting there. My artist accomplice looked about ready to pass out by the time we got there. We still had 30 minutes before any fighting started so not many people were here yet. I took the short cuts so that I would have time to explain the rules of street fighting to miss mask. "First rule of street fighting." I started to a startled sugar skull. "Under no circumstances are you to reveal the location of any arena. Second, unless you are trained in combat do not step into the ring. I say this to you because you are a small female and will be pretty much eaten by any of these fighters. Stay away from the door and stay in the middle of the crowd. Girls like you are easy targets for traffickers and the crowd will defend and protect you. Its a bit of a street fighters code. Do not accept any food or drinks from anyone but me and only if I am the one handing it to you. Ok kid?" I told her swiftly with confidence. She nodded and I noticed some new fighters walking in looking high and mighty. They began sizing everyone up with disdain turning their noses up with every new person they encountered. They probably come from rich families and have mild training in boxing from the looks of it. They all followed one guy more stuck up than the rest who looked at me winked then strutted away. UUGGG. Someone needs to teach him some respect.

It was about 15 minutes later and everyone was looking at the competitors placing bets on how well they could do. Sugar skull looked genuinely surprised when I got in the ring to stand with the other fighters. I checked on her to make sure she was where I left her. She is in the middle of a circle of people that I know have experience fighting and can protect her from anything. I walked into the ring sizing up my opponent. It was the cocky ass that I wanted to beat respect into. He got in a flirty wink before launching at me. He was fast but I was faster. I dodged, ducking under his swinging arm. I landed a solid, hard, and fast blow to his ribs feeling a familiar crack. I smirked knowing he would now have to take his over active dick right to the hospital for a broken rib or two. I landed a elbow to his back after he doubled over in pain. He fell to the ground and I stomped on his head knocking his lights out quickly and harshly.

Everyone was cheering for me and I collected my winnings. I looked around the crowd for Sugar Skull. Shit! Fuck! Damnit! Son of a BITCH! I can't see her  anywhere. She was wearing a hoodie with her Sugar Skull mask, she blends in pretty well but you can still see her curves that show she's female. So she's still a good target for creeps. I'm scared someone took her, I need to find her now. "Back off!" I heard a girl yell really loudly. It stood out, because it's Sugars. I rushed through the crowd and saw a guy pulling off her hood and trying to take off her mask. She was fighting to keep the mask on. "Hey boys I found that Sugar Skull street artist! She must know Harley Quinn! Come on lady talk or I'll find out who you are and turn you in!" He was yelling. "No I don't know Harley now let me go!" Sugar kept yelling. I rushed over and punched the guy across the face. That was satisfying. He took a step back and let go of Sugar. She rushed to pick up her bag and the guy tried to swing at me. I took his arm using his own momentum to put his arm behind his back popping it out of its socket. "Persephone! Make him face me!" Sugar yelled. I grabbed him and forced him to face her. She sprayed a purple spray paint in his face and he screamed and crumbled to the ground in a heap of agony. I looked at him and stared at him screaming. It took me a while to realize I was being pulled by someone. I turned to face the person who was pulling me and it was Sugar. She pulled me away to hide in a tiny ally. "Hey how did you know my name?" I asked her. "Shoosh, we aren't in the clear yet." She told me sternly. Shoosh? I could take them on but I don't want Sugar getting hurt, she's my responsibility, I brought her here.

"Ok we are in the clear." She told me. "How do you know?" I asked. "I run away a lot." She told me suddenly in a way better mood. "I'm Millie by the way." She told me adjusting her bag. "How do you know this place so well?" I asked her. She is just getting to know this area, how could she find a hiding spot so fast? "I don't, I winged it." Millie answered. I am beginning to have a newfound respect for this girl. "Wow, ok then. Well I guess you're a risk taker. I get that." I told her. She awkwardly laughed and I lead her to a more familiar area.

"Well, now that I've seen your world, I gotta show you mine." She told me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into one of the allies. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Shoosh!" She fiercely whispered. She was turning through the maze of allies, she looks around a lot, she must be new to the city, she doesn't act to native. "Ha Ha! Found it!" She pulled me into a building and let me go. I looked around and lights where hanging from twine on the ceiling. It looked like a warehouse, we must be on the edge of the city. "Ok don't be shocked by my face or anything." She told me. I looked at her and she took off her sugar skull mask and her hair fell over her face. She was pretty pale and had a sweet, cute looking face. Not a lot of makeup. Her hair was a light lavender and pink color and it really stood out. I looked at her eyes and they were a light brown almost grey color. She smiled at me, "Shocked?" She asked. "No, you just don't look like what I was expecting." I corrected her. "Ok then, come on I think Buffout is here." She told me leading me behind cars and trucks. Graffiti was everywhere, but it wasn't just the crappy graffiti I see in some allies, it was beautiful, it was art. She pulled me behind a semi and a big guy was spray painting the side of it. "Hey Buffout! Meet my new friend Seph, she's a street fighter." Millie told him. He looked at me, he was a giant, almost bigger than the other fighters. I looked and he was painting a little girl shooting a giant gun. "Hello Millie, and nice to meet you Seph. Millie can you help me paint some of the back round, and bullets the girl is shooting? You are very good with color." Buffout asked her. "Of course!" She pulled out her spray paints from her bag and started working. Watching them paint together was just, so... Peaceful.
