"Hello, Dean." Castiel greeted as he entered the living room. Dean jumped, slightly startled, " Uh. Hey cas." The two held a stare for what seemed like hours but turned out to be only a few seconds. Their eye contact finally broke as dean stood up, "I'm gonna grab a glass of water, do you want one?" "Yes, that would be nice." Castiel replied.
Sam smiled to him self, and decided now would be a good time to follow through with his plan. " Hey uh, guys?" Sam asked as nonchalant as possible. "Yeah?" Dean started to walk towards Sam's bedroom , cas shortly behind. "What is it Sam?" Castiel asked. As he looked at the laptop screen, his cheeks transitioned to a bright shade of pink and his heart started to race. Dean noticed that neither Sam nor cas had spoken and bent over the laptop to see for himself. "Crap." He cursed under his breath. It was a barely audible "crap" but Castiel still heard it and tilted his head in confusion. He looked at the laptop screen once more and realized that above his search were the words "different types of sexuality".
He hadn't searched that, had he? No. He only searched what he was feeling...then who had searched it? Well, Sam was surprised and dean was clearly distraught...was it dean? Why had he searched that? Did he feel the same way as Castiel?
" Are neither of you gonna say anything?!" Sam asked. Dead silence.
"Fine." Sam tucked his hair behind his ear and set his laptop beside him. By this point, Castiel and dean both looked like kids about to get in to huge trouble. The two men wore soft and surprised expressions on their faces and Dean's Apple green eyes started to wander around. "You two clearly like each other! Dean, I've seen it when you look at cas, it's the same way I used to look at je- Jess..." Sam trailed off for a while before starting up again. "And cas, I know you haven't been human for long but the reason for that is because you gave it all up, for DEAN. You rebelled, for DEAN. You fell, for DEAN. Now can you two please just talk about it?" Sam stared at them both with a pleading look. They didn't respond but Sam wouldn't take no for an answer. "Ok, good. I'm gonna go to the store." "SAM!" Dean yelled, but he was already out the door. Several minutes later, Dean turned to cas, "Look man, I uh..I think..well, I was thinking, and I uh, I love you ok?" Dean said the last part sort of rushed but Castiel still heard it. The three words made Castiel's heart skip a beat. "Sam's right, I did it all for you. I gave it all up for you. Everything." Tears sprung to Castiel's eyes and Dean felt the urge to make Castiel feel better. He wanted to hold him in his arms and tell him it would be ok, that together they were enough, that they always had been and they would get through it.
Maybe I should kiss him..I've been wanting to do that. No, that would be weird. Well hell, it's already weird and the feelings are already out there. So why not?
Dean took Castiel's hand in his and gently pulled him closer. He moved his other arm to Castiel's waist and kissed him. It wasn't like all the other kisses he'd had, no, he took his time with this one. He eased into it, slowly and gently. Castiel moved his hands to Dean's shoulders and let himself give in to the kiss just as dean had. This is what he had wanted, this is what he had stayed up thinking about every night since he'd fallen. This moment, where he could be held in deans embrace and feel safe, and he did feel safe, now more than ever. Eventually, dean pulled away. He looked cas in his eyes and whispered to him "You'll always be my angel Castiel, fallen or not."
