"You must find him and protect him Jay" she says with a soft yet hard voice. Kneeling down I look up at her, the head of the Adachi clan, Lady Suzuki. The rumors of her beauty did not do the Lady justice. She was elegant yet boisterous, caring yet stern. Lady Suzuki also carried long, straight, midnight hair that seemed devoid of any color which was accompanied with her very fair complexion. Above all, she had bright amber eyes that have been passed down by the Adachi clan for as long as it's been founded. The warm eyes I've always deep down hated, the eyes I was never able to inherit.

"Don't worry" I say meeting her gaze "I won't let him get hurt"

Unfolding her fan she starts fanning herself, "tell me, Jay, do you remember why he left you left you in the first place"

I wince a little, "may you please use a different wording"

"Oh" she says with a fake gasp "I meant, why he left his home in the first place"

Sighing, I began to think. It was a topic of conversation I chose to avoid at all cost. Why did Masato leave? Lady Suzuki was also right in a sense. If he had left anything behind, it would technically be me. Closing my eyes I began to picture Masato right before he left. He was smiling like he always did, yet there was something, something like a hint of sadness etched onto his face. Engrossed in my own thoughts I was snapped back into reality when I heard a loud clap.

"That's all I wanted to tell you really." Lady Suzuki said in her usually haughty tone. "The rest of the information on Masato's whereabouts is on the laptop in your room."

Understanding there was nothing more to say I stood up and began to walk back to my room. As I was about to open the door to leave I was interrupted.

"Jay"

"Yes?"

"What'll you do when you find him?"

"When I find him, I'll protect him"

"Will you always be by his side?"

"I won't betray him"

"What makes you think he'll allow you?"

I smile, "We only have each other"
