Chapter 11

My Pov

James's head was on my lap as I played with his hair.
"Yashfa?" He asked.
"Hm?" I hummed in response.
"Be my girlfriend?" He looked up at me for my answer.
I smile at him and say, "Hm I don't know, I quite like you being my best friend." It was half playful but half true. What would happen to our friendship? What if we didn't work out? Would we still be best friends?
He laughed and said, "We will always be best friends just a bit closer."
"Fine I'll be your girlfriend." I playfully sigh.
"Alright good cuz you really had no choice." He laughed.
"Uh huh." I lightly punched his chest.
He laughed and leaned in and kissed me.
I heard the door open..

Ethan's Pov

I don't why but when James said he would see Yashfa later I felt jealous. Why am I feeling all these things. Do I like her? No I can't. We've always been just friends she would never think of me like that.
I'm gonna go visit her to see how she's feeling.
I open the door and what I see breaks my heart into tiny pieces. Yashfa and James making out.
I clear my throat uneasily.
They look at my direction, James smiling like an idiot and Yashfa looking...guilty?
"Um so I guess your feeling better Yashfa." I awkwardly say.
"Oh um yeah I am. Katya was overreacting you know how she is I just needed to rest." She weakly smiled at me.
James cleared his throat and said, "Hey babe I gotta go I'll see you later." He leaned in and pecked her lips and left.
What the hell is going on. Whatever it is, it doesn't feel right.
"So um, you and James huh?" I break the silence.
She looks to me and responds, "Yeah, we're dating now."
"Wow." Was that all I could say?
She opened her mouth to say something but I beat her to it, " I gotta go see ya later bye." And with that I left.
