•Rayan's POV•
As the bell ending fifth period rings I feel at ease. Finally lunch, maybe I can sit with Blythe, since it doesn't look like Salem wants me sitting with him anymore.
He has ignored me all period. He actually had Hale walk me to class, not himself. I glanced at him from time to time but he was always texting someone. I wonder what I did wrong. Maybe he just realized that the new girl wasn't worth his time. I could understand that.
My science teacher was pretty nice, although he gave me the creeps. Hale told he that's just the way he is. The mans about seventy years old and can hardly read. He's nice though, and he gave me a homework pass for the next week so I don't start off this stress.
The downfall of the class is I was put next to some football jock that wouldn't stop trying to get my number. I kindly rejected him, although I don't think he's going to give up. I don't even remember his name.
The teacher opens the door dismissing class. To my delight Salem has already left, so I don't have to see him hate me too.
I make my way to my locker and come across Dante leaning against it. This is strange, I thought the guy hated me as well. His face is slightly impassive, but his body stance is very tense. Quite frankly, he scares me. I've never been scared of a male before, but this one is very intimidating.
I keep my eyes to the ground and hold my books close to my chest as stand in front of him. I wait for him to move, but he doesn't. He doesn't do anything except stand in front of me. Right before I'm about to give up an walk away he speaks.
"I've watched you all day. And when I wasn't in class I was thinking about you. I was thinking about how much damage your mire existing factor could be. Then I thought about something. You don't know any of us, hell you met us only 5 hours ago." He pauses and gets close to my face before starting again. "But if your existence creates damage don't think I won't hesitate to fix your mistakes. I'm watching your every move. If anything is out of place in our little system you will be held responsible. I'll see that your walked to every class by at least one of us. For your safety and ours."
I look up at him an see that his eyes are boring right into mine. I should probably just nod my head but the curiosity gets the better of me. "Why do you hate me? I did nothing wrong." I say quietly.
My question does nothing to break his façade, yet he seems a little shocked within his eyes. "I don't hate you. I'm threatened by you. And the fact that you know nothing is even more troublesome."
With that he backs up, bounces off my locker and begins to walk to the cafeteria.
I let out the breath I was holding and start doing my combination. Right when I'm about to open the door I'm startled by his voice once again, although he's now right behind me, his front touching my back. "Oh and Rayan, I'll also see that I'm available to be in class more. To keep an eye on you." He reaches over my shoulder to open my locker, then walks off for good.
Meanwhile | Roman
How could she come here? Does she even know what she's getting herself into? She can't find out who we are. If she does it will ruin her life, and complicate ours. Especially mine. If Rayan found out what we did, she'd never forgive us. She'd go to the police. She'd spill the secret that has kept our lives intact for 300 years.
Nobody can find out what I did. No one can know I'm the reason Rayan's life is ruined. Not even the guys, they'll never look at me the same.
Speaking of how people look at me, I know she recognizes me. I can see it in her eyes that she has some recognition of who I really am. I looked her in the eyes as she saw her family get buried 6 feet deep.

So here's a little Meanwhile
Again, Meanwhiles focus on a character that wasn't really noticed in the chapter.
You'll catch on after awhile. Just go with it. Usually Meanwhiles are in a 3rd person POV but I think I'll change it up a bit and do it in a 1st, just so you can get insight of there inner thoughts.
There won't be one in chapter 9 but after that they'll be in every chapter.
Also dedications start in Chapter 10-20!!!
