noun
1. a destructive fire that spreads quickly over woodland or brush.

It's been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on Earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation. Fortunately, there were survivors at the time of the bombs. There is now only The Ark, one station forged from the many. We're told the Earth needs another 100 years to become survivable again and man can go home, back to the ground.

I'm Ariel Harper and this is the skybox. With these metal walls, machine hums, and adolescents. Plus having it crawling with guards.

Yeah.. the skybox is a prison or more like a Juvie as they called it in the beginning of the twenty-first century. Since the prisoners are under eighteen.

Since we're living in a huge space station, if you commit a crime and your older than seventeen you'll get floated. Can't have too many souls in this Ark to waste air. So the only option is to kill our adults who commit crimes by flinging them into space, with only the clothes on their backs.

Which personally I think they should confiscate. Since the citizens are low on clothing supplies but whatever give the dead honor. Our criminal children go to prison since we're just kids. But we'll be floated once we turn eighteen. So that all you have to know if you want to 'survive' in the Ark.

I'm in this one person cell because I commited beautiful arson. You'd thought you wouldn't be able to set fire in metal but I did it and it was stunning yet deadly. Such beauty.. I wish we had lighters, make a little fire in just your hand. Anywho I would have a cellmate if this weren't solitary.

I had a cellmate as in the hormonal boy, That made advances I would shot down. He'd bother the crap out of me. So when he was sleeping I manage to strip off some of his clothing just to end up burning it.

Having him cornered in his bed. Making guards running in.To putting out just to save the shaking perv. He look back at me with wide eyes. Taken in the devilish smirk on my face.

So now you can understand why I 'MUST' be in solitary. Which I totally get. When I'm not having a 'crazy' obsession over fire.

So that's you need to know about the Ark and the dying flame that is me..

The thick metal door opens with guards pouring into the room. "Prisoner 318 face the wall" demanded by one of the two guards that came in. Squinting from the light in the hall that came in with the two guards, using her hand to help covering her eyes from the light. "You're supposed to float me in 11 days not today, Sully." says 318. "It's sullivan, now face the wall." Said Sully. Ariel does as she's told. "Raise up your arm" "Aye Aye Sully!" Saluted Ariel. With that sailor respect Sullivan put her metal bracelet faster than needed. Knowing it hurt like the bitch he is. Ariel hissed "F-fuck that wasn't necessary!" Screeched Ariel. After a short cool down she looks down her wrist. "What's this?" She questions. "If you must know 'Sparky' it's to check your vitals." Sully mocked. I internally shook my head disapprovingly, unprofessional. Shaking away her message for Sullivan she questions while walking down the hall with her two guards "My vitals?". Thinking they were being sadistic seeing how long it would take for her to suffocate in outer space. Sullivan turns to her "Yeah.." He shove a needle in her neck, then pulling it out. She slaps her hand in her small wound, stumbling. Hearing Sullivan talk again but in a slow motioned voice "Your being sent to Earth." "Whaa-" then everything goes dark for her.

Ariel wakes up in a daze hearing the antics of her fellow prisoners, helping her out of her daze. She moves her head side to side with a smile on her face hopefully looking for a friend, or at least a potential future friend. She realize she didn't really had friends or at least not any her age. Her fellow adolescents thought she was creepy, well.. she is in for arson. But the alpha station was filled with stuck ups.
