Prologue...

GORE WARNING

That tore their wings against a thorn.

Scarlet blood, that feels so right.
Dream of that blood trickling down.
And wake up just before you drown.

As you bleed out your worst fears.
So tonight when you start to cry.
Whisper the cutter's lullaby:

You dont have a pulse and your pillow is red.
Your family hates you, your friends let you bleed.
Sleep tight with a knife, 'cause that's all you need.

Rockabye baby, broken and scarred.
You didn't know life would be this hard.
Time to end the pain you hid so well.
And down you go baby, straight back to hell."

Someone, someone sang that to newborn Ivy in her sleep. She cried every night, along with other babies.

She grew up with it. Strange thing, she forgets every bit of her past once tears rolls down her blossoming cheeks. But she never forgets that lullaby, and sang herself to sleep nights after nights. But who sang it? She has no idea.

Her life was dull and torturous, which caused her to feel suicidal as soon as she reached age seven. But a transfer student was her hint of light in darkness.

She was in love. She didn't cared if they were young, she was just longing to... kiss him.

And soon it became a more hungry desire, she soon started longing for more and more.

But there were obstacles in the way, and they're people. To be exact, other girls. So she needed a strategy, a backup if things go bad.

That's when she decided to change from emotionless and broken to ambitious and cunning, but that's just the cover of a book.

Later that day, she received something from somewhere, again she doesn't know where.

And that night, she sang herself "A Cutter's Lullaby" to sleep. For once, having a lit up dream.
