The first day at Greystone Academy was a complete blur. It felt as though everything went at a pace which was a hundred times faster than it was the day before and I was the only one behind. However, I couldn’t say it wasn’t one of the most eventful days I had ever experienced in my past 17 years of existence.

It started off with a simple breakfast where I bumped into Niall and he offered to introduce me to his friends. At first, I was going to decline his offer and just eat alone but then I realised how absurd that would look and that would most definitely not be the first impression I would want people to have of me. It was already bad enough that I had lied about who I was; I didn’t want things to get worse on the first day.

Niall lead me to a table just next to a large pair of double glazed windows overlooking the outside courtyard.

“Hey guys, this is the new girl, Nina Hemmings, Maria Hemmings daughter!” Niall introduced me, making me mentally face palm myself.

At the table that time, there were three people sat, one girl and three boys. It didn’t shock me whatsoever that their arms were inked with tattoos and they were also dressed in clothes that seemed much too expensive to even consider wearing.

Me, being the idiot I am, obviously made it to blatant that I was staring at them, earning something close to a death glare from one.

“Hi…” I said awkwardly, tugging at the sleeves of my knitted pullover. Which then brought me to the fact that my clothing seemed far less rich than theirs.

“Hey Nina, I’m Louis Tomlinson,” The boy seated to my left extended his palm to shake hands with me.

Oh how decently mannered

I approached his to shake it, adding a small smile at the end, which he returned of course.

Seated next to him was another boy, who looked like a very well anticipated actor I had seen before, but I just couldn’t place who…

“Hi, I’m Liam, Liam Payne,” He said, as if it were referring to my thoughts.

“Why don’t you take a seat next to Diana over there?” Liam asked me, gesturing to the empty chair next to a girl with shoulder length red hair and intimidating grey eyes.

Nodding, I moved towards her only to be stopped when she exclaimed:

“Ew, no! I’m saving this seat for Aubrey…duh.”

I stopped and looked down at the floor before quickly looking at Niall.

“Whatever Diana, she probably won’t even show up, too busy fucking Styles,” Niall rolled his eyes, gesturing for me to sit next to him across Louis and Liam.

“Shut the fuck up Niall,” Diana remarked, earning another eye roll from him. I giggled and decided to start small talk with the other two boys. At the same time, I was praying Diana didn’t happen to be Aubrey’s friend, as in the Aubrey who Harry was ‘all over’ last night. Coming to think of it, I had never even known Harry Styles had a girlfriend, wouldn’t it be something that everyone would address in the media?

I asked them about themselves and found out it seemed that Niall, Louis, Liam and Diana were all in the year above me. Diana, of course, didn’t join in the conversation but shot me a few grotesque looks once in a while which went unnoticed by the others of course.

But then came the drama, when Harry and Aubrey walked in and took a seat right by Niall’s side, making my worst nightmares come true.

Aubrey hadn’t even taken her eagerly ‘saved’ seat next to Diana, but placed her arse just above Harry’s lap and immediately engrossing his lips upon hers, making me lose all appetite I had for breakfast left. Louis had obviously noticed my disgusted expression and informed me that this was the usual deal around here, making me want to throw up even more.
