We are ushered out onto the pavement. Ahead we can see the massive school but it looks eerily quite. Standing in front of us a women and two men. The women is dressed in a peach knee length dress with a white lab coat through over it. While the two men wore tailored grey and blue suits. The man in the middle started talking once everyone got off the transport truck.

"Welcome to Courage Academy. This place is now your future." He paused to let that sink in before continuing. "All of you will shape and create the future for the rest of the world. Whether that be fighting the next war or saving lives; you all have bright futures." He continued, "I am headmaster VanderWaal."

Then the women jumped in, "Hello I'm Dr. Hawthorne, I help train the girls that are assigned to become doctors. I look forward to seeing some of you young ladies grow and become even better than me." She laughed a little at the end.

Then lastly the younger man started. " Good afternoon I'm Senator Ralph Jacobs. I represent the state of New York." He explained a little bit about himself. "I know not as exciting as a solider but I'll have to do. I mentor young men to become great politicians and I'll be looking for your new faces"

Headmaster VanderWaal then continues, "These are just a few of our successful graduates. I know many of you do not want to be here, but this is your new family." He paused, "You will receive your assigned positions first thing tomorrow morning. Today is for you to settle in to your surroundings."

As he talked we were handed packets; which contained a simple map of the school, dorm keys, and a schedule for meals. My dorm key said G206. 'Well I guess that's my room number' .

"I hope you enjoy your time at Courage Academy." He concluded and we were dismissed.

Instead of taking out my map out I walked toward the large school; determined to learn the layout without the map. As I reached the large Victorian themed doors a loud shrinking bell engulfed my ears. When it ended hoards of young men and women came out and filled the outdoor corridors. Some looked a little younger than me and some looked a few years older than me. If I didn't know what this school was I would of thought of it as just a normal boarding school.

Waiting for the crowds to die down before continuing down a random corridor getting lost in my thoughts. By the time I came back from my thoughts, I stood in front of a fountain that looked to be dried out. Sitting against the fountain I wondered how I could possibly get away from this place.

After giving up on that thought I figured I should try to at least my new room. Remembering the map in my packet I quickly pulled it out.

Finally reaching G206 I stopped and took a breathe before pushing the door open. The room was simply furnished just two twin beds pushed against the walls, a desk with a small lamp, two night stands, and a bookshelf. I chose a random bed since neither one seemed taken. Laying on the bed only could interest me so long before I figured I should go and try and meet a few people. Pulling out the packet I checked the meal times to find that dinner starts in half an hour. Deciding that's one way to mingle I got up taking the map with me.

The cafeteria hall was only about a 5-10 minute walk so I got there a bit early. Cooks were starting to place food out. Instead of getting in there way I decided to sit at one of the tables until dinner officially started so I  sat and stared at the  the wall clock that hung a short distance away. After a few minutes a couple more students trickled in.

Getting up I head toward the cafeteria styled line not really sure what was good or not I decided to ask a girl a short distance away from me. I walked up behind her and gently tapped her shoulder

"Sorry I don't mean to bother you. I'm new here and I wondering what this place serves that is actually good." I gave a short explanation.

"It's no problem, by the way I'm Alaska. I usually just take a burger and some fries." She replied.

"Thanks and I'm Ava nice to meet you." Hopefully I made at least one friend here.

"So you're new here... would you like to sit with me and a few of my friends?" She asked.

"Umh, sure just let me a grab some food." She seemed really nice so far; I think I could get along with her. After picking up what she suggested I turn to  her and tell her I'm ready. She drags me behind her leading me to a table with a few people. She pushes me toward a seat and takes the one next to me.

She points towards the boys that sat across from us, "the boy with black jacket is Rory. He's in training to be a solider." He acknowledges me with a short wave. She continues to introduce me to the two other people at the table. "... And finally this is Ava. Be nice to her."

Laughing a little they all turn back to the conversation they were having before we showed up. Throughout dinner I could feel Rory's eyes watching me. Well I guess he doesn't like me much.
