I walk through the old barn, knowing the vamp was in here. Dean told me to stay in the Impala, but I was sick of being treated like a baby that can't handle myself. If I can kill this vampire that'll show Dean that I can hunt just like him.

"I thought you were the Winchester boys there for a minute," A man says stepping out from behind a bale of hay, "What's a good girl like you doing with a blade like that?"

I clench my fist around the blade, knowing I have to make a move.

"You know what I am, so you're obviously not alone. Unless you have a certain death wish?"

"I'm not here to talk, you ugly blood sucker."

I charge toward him, swinging the blade at his neck. I miss and hit the ground.

"Feisty! Wow, the nest is gonna love you. Especially when we're draining your pretty little head."

I lunge at him, grabbing his head, "The only thing you're gonna be doing is telling me where the nest is!"

"Oh, is that right?" He throws me over his shoulder and sits down on my stomach, holding down my arms, "Because you won't be doing anything anytime soon."

He opens his mouth, and right as he leans in to bite me, his head falls onto my chest, blood gushing all over my face. When he falls I see Dean, Sam and Castiel standing above me, "H-Hey you guys..."

"Hey my ass. C'mon, we're leaving." Dean snaps and walks out of the barn.

"Thanks, you guys...for saving me once again," I say hoping Sam wasn't as angry as Dean.

"Yeah. It's our job. Next time just.. listen to Dean."

"Are you okay Y/N?" Castiel asks me.

"I'm fine Cas, thanks."

I trudge out of the barn and get into the Impala. Once again, I had to be saved by the guys. I kept quiet in the back seat, earning nervous glances from Cas and glares from Dean in the front seat. I look down, tears pooling in the corners of my eyes. Castiel touches my arm, "You said you are okay. Why are you crying?"

I shove his hand, "I'm fine Castiel; leave me alone."

He moves his hand away, looking defeated. The rest of the ride is silent, as expected after a hunt like that.

I sit on my bed curled up in my blanket wiping my eyes.

He's so angry with me... why does it hurt so much? Ugh, I just wanted to prove my worth. Now Dean is mad, Sam is disappointed and Castiel's feeling are probably hurt.

A slight knock on my door gets my attention. I look up and see Dean standing there with something in his hands. He walks over and sits next to me on the bed.

I start to silently cry. Just being near him hurts. All I can see is his anger and disappointment in me.

"W-What do you want Dean?"

"I'm just checking on you kiddo."

"Well, whatever. I'm fine."

I feel the bed sink down some. I look at Dean who is now lying on the bed, feet propped at the end. I push his legs off the mattress, "No boots on the bed."

He shifts towards me, "What happened at the barn... I was angry because I thought we were too late. It made me angry to see you in danger."

"So you're mad because I almost got hurt?"

"I'm mad because you didn't listen to me. I was just trying to look out for you. I don't want you hurt on my account."

I cry harder, "I just wanted to show you I could hunt! I wanted to hunt with you and I can't do that if all you ever do is tell me to stay in the car!"

Dean actually seems shocked at my reaction, "You want to risk your life everyday just so you can kill monsters by my side?"

"Yes, Dean...isn't it obvious?"

He leans over and grabs the back of my head, pulling me into a deep kiss.

"I love you Y/N, and I don't want you hurt."

He wipes my eyes. A small smile plays across my lips, "I love you too Dean. I have for a while. That's why I want to hunt with you. I want to get closer to you."

"Why didn't you just tell me, Y/N?"

"Because I was embarrassed... and I thought you would act like I'm a good hunter if I just told you. I wanted to earn your trust and appreciation. I want to hunt like you, a real hunter."

"Well, here," He hands me whatever he's been holding in his jacket this whole time.

I take it. It's wrapped inside some type of magazine paper.

Classic Dean.

I rip it open, revealing a large blade.

"If you're gonna run off and try to hunt alone, you might as well do it right."

He smirks, "I know it isn't much-"

"I love it!"

I hug him after sitting the knife down. He chuckles lightly and holds me against him, "And uh, Y/N?"

"Yeah Dean?"

"I'll teach you how to hunt like a Winchester."

"You will?! Does that mean I can kill demons and sell my soul when one of us dies?!"

Dean hugs me tighter, "You won't be dying on my watch."
