"Wake up." I muttered yanking at the covers on my brothers' bed as I stood there with my coffee in hand already.

"What time is it?" He groaned and I saw him pop his head out from under the gray comforter begrudgingly to look at the alarm clock that already read ten.

"We have shit to do today, bro." I reasoned before taking a hearty drink. "Fresh coffee is on and I'll be in the kitchen. You have ten minutes before I leave your ass here." I threatened as I turned and walked back to the hallway.

"With what car?" Caine growled at being treated like a child but I smirked and held the keys up and let them dangle in the air without glancing back but I heard the defeated sigh and the shifting of covers.

"Seven minutes." I called as I walked out the door and grabbing the list of things that I had made earlier this morning after tossing and turning for half the night. I looked at the long list of things that needed to be bought and looked at the long list of things we need to do bought and done.

I sighed as I stared at the empty cabinets and empty fridge and just decided that I'd force Caine to take me out for breakfast. Not that it would really be forcing considering he was always fussing over my eating habits and worrying that I didn't eat enough.

"The carriage awaits, Princess." Caine said gallantly as he stepped into the room and swept into a bow that made me smirk. He was too weird sometimes but I still loved him all the same.

After much arguing I finally slid into the driver's seat and waited for a brooding Caine to buckle up. He growled at me once again and shook his head. "I'm not driving until you buckle up." I challenged and he gave me a look of disbelief behind his sunglasses.

"Your shitting me-," He began but I turned my head to the windshield and ignored him until I heard the click of the metal sliding home, but soon enough we were listening to loud music and driving through the scenic forest that had grown on me. It was a good fifteen minute drive until we reach the edge of a small town.

I stopped at a homey looking café and my brother frowned at me. "We don't have food at the house." I explained as I got out and locked the doors as he followed suit after giving me regretful look that I pointedly ignored as I tried to find a spot to sit down.

Finding a booth in the empty restaurant was easy and I tugged Caine to a booth that had a shaded spot and pushed him into it when I sat in the sunny spot, letting it heat my cold skin. After ordering scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon from a tired looking waitress, she finally turned her attention back to Caine.

"We'll get groceries before we go home." He promised solemnly.

"You're not getting my bacon." I threatened as I pointed my fork at him. We laughed and talked as I ate my food but I could tell that he wasn't as into it.

"Do you mind if I went a got something to eat myself? I'm not craving this right now." He smiled apologetically at me and I nodded understandingly. "Meet you at the square in a couple hours?" He asked and I agreed before watching him walk into the town and disappearing out of sight.

I turned my attention back when a familiar shiver went up my spine and I glanced up from pushing my food around to see a haunting green eyes and I froze when I saw the same Adonis man from the woods yesterday.

"Mind if I sit?" He asked and all I could do was stare as he wordlessly sit into the spot that Caine had just vacated.
