It was now Friday, the night of the homecoming game. I haven't talked or hung out with Ethan since that fight we had when I was over his house a few days ago. He did call and text me, leaving multiple messages, but I just ignored them, and I even shut my phone off because of it. I was still mad at him for getting into my business with what's going on between me and Sam, but I still had that small spot inside me saying that I'm not, and I still like him.

I was even debating if I should go to the homecoming game cause I'm gunna see him play there, but I kinda have to go for Sam. Sam wanted to be with me after the game, so we planned on going out to eat afterwards. Yet, I still wanna see Ethan play, and maybe at least talk to him about everything. It was about 6:30, and I was all ready to head to the game. I was wearing a red flannel, and I left it unbuttoned since I wore a black tank top underneath. I also wore some ripped skinny jeans, along with my brown combat boots. I also left my hair in its natural state, and I just touched it up before I left. Once my ride was here, I headed outside of my house with my phone in my hands.

I headed over to the game with my three friends, Grace, Avery, and Rachel since they picked me up. It was about a 10 minute ride to the school, and it took a bit longer with all the parking. Soon enough, we all headed down to the football stadium together. We were lucky to get seats in the front, and we sat together in the middle rows. We also noticed that both schools teams were practicing a little before the game started, and I just had some small talk with my friends. After about 10 minutes, they took a little break, then the game finally started. Once it finally did, I began to recognize the players on our team. I found Sam in his number 1 jersey, and I found him playing so well. But I did remember Ethan's number, which was number 8. I definitely found him playing a lot of the game, and it actually impressed me. As our schools team was making most of the touchdowns, the crowd all cheered.

Our school had won the game from 32 to 13. The crowd all cheered for our school once we won, and some people started heading out. Grace, Rachel, Avery, and I started heading out of the football stadium talking about the dance tomorrow night. Rachel started telling us how Jack asked her out to it, and we were all happy for her.

"At least you and Elena have dates to the dance, unlike me and Grace," Avery said a bit down. She told us that she was really hoping that Grayson was gunna ask her out, but he never did. I guess Avery really liked him...

"Don't worry about having a date," Grace assured her. "You could always come with me." Grace smiled towards her, and Avery did the same back.

"That's what friends are for, right?" I told her.

"Says the one who's going with a date," Avery rolled her eyes, but ended up laughing, and so did the rest of us. We all headed up the stairs away from the football field, until Grace asked me, "You need a ride home Elena?"

"Actually no, I'm supposed to meet Sam over here since he wants to be with me after the game," I told them.

"Oh, okay," Grace replied with a smirk. We headed near the outdoor bathrooms, and I stood against it while they were walking away, and Rachel called out, "Have fun, but not too much fun!" I just laughed and smiled towards them, while they did the same as they were leaving.

Once we finished saying our final goodbyes, I started to text Sam where I was. He never texted me back after, or even called me. I just decided to wait, since I'm not taking any chances if I left him. A lot of people had also left, which is also making me stand alone near the bathrooms. I then just went on my phone going through my social medias waiting for Sam to get here, but he was actually taking longer than what I usually expected. Maybe he's just taking a while to get ready, I'm assuming. As I was scrolling through my Instagram, I heard footsteps coming near me through the darkness. Let again, I was alone out here, and there was some visible light near the bathrooms and on the football field. I did feel a bit nervous, and once the footsteps came close to me, they called out, "Hey babe."
