I wake up with a terrible ache in my back and hips. All at once, I feel stupid for sleeping on the hard forest floor in my human form. My wolf form could handle it, though.

Standing up, the memories from last night rush through my mind and I stumble. My eyes immediately find the boulder. Still sprawled out in a grotesque manner is my mother. I shut my eyes before a new set of tears can overcome me. Sucking in a breath, I get to work and bury my mother. A second time.

I don't have a shovel, so I slip out of my clothes and shift. I dig a body size hole into the ground and make sure it's not too shallow. Shifting back into my human form and putting my clothes back on, I make my way over to my mother.

How am I going to get her off this boulder without ripping her apart even more? I don't want to leave her out here like this for nature to deal with. I attempt to maneuver her off the boulder without touching any blood, but that's impossible. Blood pours onto me as I grab my mother under her knees and back and lift her. She's a little heavy, but I manage. I do my best to lay her out comfortably in the ground.

Then I go back to the boulder for the rest of her limbs.

Once she's fully into the ground, I close my eyes and say a silent farewell. Goodbye, Mother.

I shift into my wolf once again and cover her in earth's soiled dirt. Shifting back into my human form, I stare at her grave. I pat it down with my bare feet. But it still isn't enough. My eyes land on a small bush of purple flowers. The middle is a bright yellow and I know right away that Mom would have loved it. I pluck out a handful from the bush and arrange them around my Mother's grave.

When I finish, I compliment my work and blow a kiss to my Mother. And I leave, ready to start my new mission.

I thought I would have reached the pack house in record time. Yet, I did not. It's probably 10 A.M. and I look like a mess. There's blood all over my clothes and smears of it on my face. I somehow find the courage to enter the house through the back door of the kitchen.

Why am I not surprised that the pack decides to spend their morning in the kitchen?

The girl from last night is the first to see me. She let's out a squeak that everyone takes heed of. A girl with bright red hair and freckles is the second to notice me. She gapes. Beside her is a boy no older than me with short black hair and wide brown eyes. He pulls the redhead close to him and stands. The girl from last night stands up to, and she obviously mind links something to the boy because he slightly relaxes and sits back down.

A girl I didn't notice is sitting in the corner, away from them. She has long, raven black hair and pale white skin. She could pass for a seductive vampire. But she is a wolf and obviously goth. The boy sitting in front of her is the complete opposite. He has all star looks. Bright smile, bright eyes. Irresistible face and body. They look to be in a deep conversation and the goth girl is frowning.

Sitting on the counter and swinging her legs is a small blonde girl and she looks strangely familiar. She has vague blue eyes and a small body. She must have been thirteen, at the least. Then I realize her features match Nick's. She must be his sister. I never would have thought he has siblings.

The girl from last night approaches me. Even though she looks small- and I'm way taller than her- she has a confident and strong aura to her. An aura that belongs only to those who are made to be Alpha's. She steps up to me with a welcoming smile on her face.
