Chapter 4

[Setting:Dupain-Cheng Bakery]

Marinette and Bridgette were in the living room taking a small break. Little did they know, they would be visited. The two girls hummed as Tikki ate away the plate of cookies. The two girls checked the clock and sighed, their break was over. They heaved themselves up and put on their aprons on their way down the stairs. Just as they reached the bottom of the stairs, the front door dinged as it was opened. "Hello and welcome to Cheng Bakery, how many?" Sabine said without even looking up from the oven. "Yes, booth for four please" Sabine seated the customers right away and notified them that Marinette and Bridgette would be serving them. Sabine had a smile plastered on her face as she got the girls. At the booth, the four customers chatted a bit. And by four customers I mean Alya, Nino, Adrien, and Felix. "Wow just wow" Adrien stated looking around. He surely did not expect Marinette's new place to be like this. "Yeah boy, you could have said that months ago at its grand opening!" Alya exclaimed, giving him that look again. Adrien smiled sheepishly. Felix on the other hand didn't know what to think still. He was about to go face to face with Bridgette. "Now I see why my mother wanted both of us to serve you four" All four heads turned to see Marinette standing there with menus, behind her Bridgette. Bridgette's eyes widened and a small blush formed on her face as she noticed Felix. Marinette noticed right away. "Ah more customers...Bridgette?" Marinette said, turning to see that Bridgette was already gone. She had went to take other orders from other tables. Felix sighed as he looked down upset. Marinette raised an eyebrow as she wrote down her friends orders. As she went to go place their order, the other three looked at Felix. They knew something was wrong but they didn't say a thing. That didn't stop Marinette. She stomped back to the booth, pulled up a chair, and plopped down by Felix. "Spill it" she said. Felix gave her a dark look and cocked an eyebrow. "Excuse me?" He stated in a cold tone. Marinette only crossed her arms and repeated her words. Felix hesitated for a bit. "It's Bridgette..." he said. The other three stared at him in shock for the fact that he knew Bridgette. Marinette just gave him a look, telling him to continue. If it involved her cousin, she wanted to find out. Felix sighed. "When I was in school
with her, she always tried to get my attention...and I always broke her heart without caring. I don't know why I always said no, maybe it just comes naturally..." He groaned as he hit his head on the table. Marinette smiled at him, unknowingly making Adrien a tad bit jealous. "Well maybe you should change that" she stated, before getting up and leaving. Felix thought for a bit before finally smiling, shocking everyone. 'Alright' he thought, 'Im gonna change that'
