Mitch started walking to his locker when he felt a hand touch his shoulder.
He looked back and found Jason and his friends looking at him.
Jason was some popular kid who bullied Mitch. He was very homophobic and he assumed Mitch was gay because of his voice. He was but he didn't know that
Mitch tried to ignore Jason but it was really difficult with him whispering about how he was a faggot and that he was going to punch him until he was bleeding"
Finally the bell rang and Mitch ran to his class. He had math and although he hated math he was so ready to get to his class and finally feel safe.
When Mitch got to his class he noticed a kid sitting in his seat. Mitch gently went over and sat next to him. He didn't want to be rude so he just stayed quiet.
The teacher finally entered the classroom
"Hello students! How are you in this beautiful day" said Mr. Graceffa
"Good" everyone said annoyed at the teacher's positive attitude
"Well today I'm very happy since it's my anniversary with my boyfriend so I'm going to give you guys some free time"
"Yess thank you Mr. G" said Patrick, one of the popular kids
"Oh but first I want to introduce you guys to the new student"
Everyone looked over the kid next to him and he just looked down very nervous. Mitch felt bad for him. He had been the new kid before and he knew how it felt.
"Well mister, would you like to introduce yourself?"
The guy stood up
"Well my name is Scott Hoying. I'm 14 and I like acting and singing"
"Fag" a guy screamed from the back
"Hey!! Shut up" Mitch said very angry
"Gabriel you know I hate when you use that word. Being gay is not wrong. You don't even know if he is actually gay. Gay is not an insult it's a sexuality" Mr. Graceffa said very angry
Scott sat down and Mitch couldn't help but stare at him. He remembered Scott and he just wanted to give him a hug.
Finally the bell rang and Scott stood up ready to leave, but Mitch grabbed his arm.
"Wait!" Mitch said
"Okay?"
"Do you remember me?"
"Not really. Do I know you?"
"My name is Mitch Grassi"
"Wait! Mitch from theater?" Scott said
"That's me!" Mitch said with a happy smile
"OMG!!! I've missed you so much" Scott said and gave him a hug
They stayed like that for a while
Present
Mitch was crying as he remembered everything. Scott just stood there looking at him.
"Why are you crying?" Scott said kinda sad
"I miss that so much"
"What?"
"Your hugs... I miss them"
"You know I'm not giving you a hug right?"
"Why? What happened to us? We used to be so happy and in love and know you treat me like a stranger."
"I told you. I hate you" Scott said frustrated
"And why?"
"Because you... You're... Ugh I can't tell you"
"Why?" Mitch said angry
"The only thing I can tell you is that I don't want you in my life. You're annoying and I'm tired of you. Let's go back so you can actually leave me alone" Scott said very angry
"And how are we going back?"
That's when they heard their high school teacher's voice and they knew they were about to see something else.
