So I am now the ultimate level of sadness and depression because Leo decided he was retiring from the Argentina national team.
I am also very sad because, someone at his age still has a long while to go before they retire from any team, and the fact he felt it was needed after so many tournament losses upsets me.
I've watched every single video of him in tears because of the penalty kick for Chile and because of the loss of his team. The interview he had discussing his retirement, I've watched that too, and he looks so fucking uncomfortable.
I am in no way dissing Chile, because that's how wars start and I don't want to be the cause of that. I am just saying, I feel absolutely terrible that he's feeling this way and I wish him the best in years to come. Hopefully, he'll be happy, whatever he decides he wants to do.
