I feel it before I register it. I feel a hit to my stomach, look down to see my hands holding blood. I suddenly feel the pain, spreading through me like it's coursing through my veins, as I feel myself collapse on the floor, unable to pull myself up.

"NO!" Officer Pierce yell as I faintly hear other gunshots echo and strange men seem to cloud my vision.

I can feel my mouth open in shock, unable to process the reality of the current events. I can out the corner of my eye, other men surrounding my dad. But too soon, people are crowding me, trying to touch me and tell me foolish things like "It'll be okay," or "Just hold on sweetie".

I can feel a lady try to move my hand away from my stomach, trying to lift my shirt.

"No!" I yell as loud as I can, trying with all my might not to let her move my hands, "I'm fine. I'm.. I'm okay," I say as I try my hardest to move, sit up, but I can't.

"Hey. Hey. Let us help you," another man says, "My name is Matthew but you need to let us help you."

The paramedics are quickly moving me on something, as I feel myself rolling, before everything seems to go black.

I wake up to movement. I can see two or three people crowding the moving cube [ambulance]. They're shouting, moving and accessing me. I can barely make out their faint voices. Everything seems to move in slow motion. I can feel their hands on my stomach and along my legs. I'm looking around but everything seems foreign.

"Hey. It's alright," Matthew says, suddenly appearing next to me, "Stay with me, okay?"

All too soon I seem to be rushed out the car, and into a place of cool air and stale smells.

The hospital. I recognize it immediately.

 I hear faint voices, everywhere.

16 year old female. G.S.W. to the chest. Multiple bruises and injuries, and possible rape.

I close my eyes at the last word. When I open them again I'm surrounded my new people. People in white coats and serious eyes. People shouting and rushing me away, moving so swiftly I can feel the air whoosh past me.

I'm suddenly no longer moving, just in a new room. I recognize nobody until one face appears in my vision.

Dr. Hunt.
