Though I've tried to ignore it,

And just be a good friend,

Trying to stop loving you,

is an absolute dead end.

I love everything about you,

From the bigs things to the small,

But I know that you will never,

Be the first one to call.

All the nights we spent together,

Not so long ago after all,

The memories pounding in my head,

It's getting harder to resist the fall.

The hole in my chest gapes open,

Causing stutters in my breathm

Sometimes life without you seems so bleak,

I'm almost contemplating death,

But the pain keeps me alive,

Through the tears and heavy sobs,

Because I know that loving you,

Is supposed to be one of my jobs.

So I'll smile through the hurt,

And keep you by my side to stay,

because even though you broke me,

You're the reason I get up and face my day.
