If you saw my heart break,

In those moments my thoughts won't slow,

Would you hold me in your arms,

And never let me go?

If you saw the sobs wrack my body,

As they so often do,

Would you realize that I'm broken,

And it's all because of you?

If you looked a little deeper,

And saw what no one else wants to see,

Would you finally realize,

I'm desperate for someone to love me?

If you were always there for me,

Like you always say you are,

Would you reply to all my cries for help,

Before the lonliness starts to scar?

If you actually did love me,

Like you told me the other day,

Would you try to make me happy,

And for once, decide to stay?

If I broke down in front of you,

And admitted all my pain,

Would you listen to every word,

And give me the strength I need to gain?

If you saw my heart break,

When the thoughts of you won't slow,

Would you finally love me the way I love you,

And never let me go?
