chapter 2

I couldn't stop dreaming, thinking and wondering about the man i had met in the woods over a week ago at the party. We talked a little that night and he wouldn't come to close to me which i didn't like, all i wanted to do was hold him which is weird. he walked me back to the party and told me to not leave the house unless I'm going home i turned my back for 2 seconds and he was gone.

"lil can we go to the pawk mummy said you would take me dcoz she is bwizzy" amber runs into my room just as I'm getting dressed. her pig tails bouncing as she runs into my room smiling and pleading.

"Okay but ask mum for some money so we can go for something to eat" she squeals and nods leaving the room. i put my shoes on and grab my backpack, as i don't really like handbags.

I walk down the stairs to see my mother talking to amber in the living room. "How much do you think you will need dear?" she looks up at me as she is crouched to talk to amber.

"I was thinking we could go to the diner for a burger and a milkshake" I think of how much i should ask for as i don't want to take to much and leave my mother with nothing.

"here how about you can have $50 as a payment for taking your sister out for the day and you can keep what is left" she hand me the money and i engulf her in a massive hug.

"i don't think i could wish for a better mother than you" i honestly couldn't.

"and i couldn't wish for better daughters" me and amber giggle. I put my money in my bag as we wish are mother a goodbye and leave in the direction of the park.

The playground was just past the park that surrounded a lake full of ducks. It was a out cove in the woods that consisted of a slide, swing set, jungle gym and some animals that rocked back and forth. I didn't get why kids got so excited to come her and spend hours playing on the same things over and over again, it seemed boring to me but amber loved doing it.

As soon as we got close she ran in and started playing on the jungle gym as i sat on the swings watching her happily playing on the equipment. My mined slowly drifted to Matthew, why hadn't i seen him before or after we met? maybe he was new and now he was trying to avoid me.

I looked up to the sound of the metal gate clicking shut and i looked around to find amber climbing the stairs to the slide, so i looked to the gate curious of who had come in.

A little boy with blond hair stood in the middle of the park starring at everything around him. considering he had no adult with him i walked to him to see if he was okay "hey are you okay?"

I bent down to his level and he looked at me with curiosity obviously debating weather to trust me or not "i lost my brother when i ran to the park" he popped his bottom lip out.

"its okay, i will help you find him if you would like? whats your name?" i smiled at him and he smiled back

"Max king whats yours?" his last name rung in my head like a signal and my eyes darted round expecting Matthew to be near but he was not.

"I'm Lilly grey and thats my sister Amber" i pointed to her as she walked to use and clung to my arm.

"who is he?" she frowned

"I'm Max" he sticking his tongue out at her and i giggled at the war that had sprung over the two little ones.

"MAX WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN I WAS WORRIED SICK" Matthew stormed threw the gate before he stopped behind max and looked down at me and his face softened "I see you found lily"

he nodded his head "I like her she is very nice" i smile at him as his little cheeks redden.

"Well thank you Max you where very charming yourself" i pinch his cheek and he squeals a little before pushing my hand away, which did make me smile.
