Obstacles (Camren)

Chapter 1

Hey guys, I just wanted to mention that my first language is not English, and that this is the first  story / fanfic I am writing. So sorry for any grammar mistakes :)

Camila's POV
I wake up by the annoying sound of my alarm clock. I open my eyes slowly. As they are fully opened, I see nothing else but my  nightstand. I spot the book I finished reading yesterday, and my reading glasses. My alarm clock is somewhere behind the book, but I can't see it yet. I force my self to sit up. As I am wiping some hair away from my eyes, I agressivly hit the top of my alarm clock with my right hand. The beeping stops immedeatly. I throw my head back on the bed and close my eyes. What feels like just seconds, turns out to be a few minutes. I realise that when my mom walks into my room, and opens the drapes. My room is immedeatly filled with sunlight, causing me to  grumble.
"Good morning, little vampire" my mom says laughing.
"Good morning" I say while sitting upstraight again.
As my mom walks out of my room, I get out of bed and walk to my closet.
What should I wear at the first day of school?
After a few minutes, I decide to wear something casual. Just some black high waist skinny jeans, a white T- shirt and some combat boots. Nothing too special.
I walk down the stairs and head into the kitchen. I grab an apple and some orange juice and sit down on the couch. Sofi, my jounger sister, is already way too busy playing the sims freeplay on her IPad, so she doesn't even see me.
I finish my apple, and pick up my bag.
"Mom, I am leaving" I yell up the stairs, as my mom is still busy doing her hair.
"OK, honey. Have a wonderful day at school!"
"Yeah Ok" I say.
My mom knows I hate school, but she still tries to make me feel different about that.
It's not that I don't like learning, but the classes are just so boring. Even though the people at my school are really nice, I have a hard time interacting with people. My best friend is Lauren. I also have some other friends I hang out with at lunch. Dinah, Ally and Normani are their names. Those are the only people I interact with at school.
As I am walking towards my car, I feel two hands poking my side, making me squeal a little. As I turn around, I hear a familar, husky voice laughing. Laurens green eyes staring at me, while laughing out loud.
"Geez Lauren,  you almost killed me there!" I laugh, pulling my best friend into a close hug.
"Sorry babe, didn't mean to scare you." Lauren says.
Babe? Did she really just say that?
"Uhm, I forgive you I guess. What are you doing in front of my house?" I ask, stuttering a little bit.
"I thougt, since walking to your house only takes me five minutes, we could go to school together," Lauren explains.
"But if you'd rather go alone, I totally get that babe."
There it is again, the weird feeling in my stomach. Why is she calling me babe?
"Uh, n-no problem. I-I like going together w-with you." I hear myself stuttering again.
"Great, so what are we waiting for then?" Lauren asks me.
"Uhm, nothing. Let's go." I say, while heading towards my car and unlocking the door with my carkeys. I open the door and sit down behind the steering wheel. A few seconds later, Lauren sits next to me. I put my keys into the keyhole, and start the engine.
As we are driving, I feel Lauren staring at me. It makes my feel kinda uncomfortable, but at the same time I have this weird feeling in my stomach. As I am focussing on the road, I suddenty feel her hand on my leg. My stomach starts to spin around. Why is she doing this? I look at her, trying to hide my nerves.
"I missed you Camz, I really did. Summer was so boring without you." Lauren says.
Her hand is still on my leg, and I actually kind of like it. What is happening here?
"I missed you too." I answer. Lauren starts smiling. Gosh, I missed that smile. And once again, the feeling in my stomach is there. I smile back at her.

Finally, we arrive at the school's parking lot. As I am getting out of the car, I see Lauren heading over to a random guy, and she starts kissing him. What the fuck is going on?! I have never been so confused. She didn't even tell me about him, and it actually felt like she was trying to hit on me. The weirdest thing about it all, I actually feel jealous. I decide to just walk away.
"Camz!" I hear on my right. As I look, I see Dinah and Normani walking towards me.
"Hey!" I say, as I am hugging both Normani and Dinah at the same time.
We just start chatting about our summer. Dinah went with Siope to Brasil. She had an amazing time. Normani stayed with her family in Texas. As I am about to start about my boring summer, Lauren walks toward us and greets us all.
As she's hugging Dinah and Normani, she winks at me again. I thought that I had already reached the maximum point of confusion, but this proves I was wrong.
I decide to turn around and just walk away from her, Normani and Dinah. Normani and Dinah don't seem to notice. But Lauren definitly does, as she calls after me.
I just decide to keep on walking. This day is so weird.
