Ah, what a lovely one to start with. Because it seems that's what they start with also instead of having a solid story first.

I cannot stress enough how do many people... I mean, it's not even for Sues, but Stus too, can get this so, so wrong. So very, very wrong.

A lot of people like to make these female killers seem emo because nowadays Creepypasta is an emo symbol. For fuck sake, why. Why would you butcher a character with multicoloured streaks and hair dye- Which, fyi, KILLERS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OBTAIN EASILY. NOT TO MENTION WHAT FUCKING PURPOSE WOULD THEY HAVE FOR THAT?

As for the "horror" parts to their appearance (a.k.a, rip off features from other Creepypastas) it lacks... well, horror. People are too afraid to add something too mortifying in fear that no one would think their character is pretty and attractive. The main objective for creating a Creepypasta isn't to make them hot, it is in fact to make them disgusting. Something that would make your blood run cold, I don't think I'd be very scared of a chick with an emo fringe came up to me and started talking about death. That's just an MCR fan. (Check the cover photo for examples of that.)

Now. We all have seen one. We all have. Neko OCs. Let me tell you straight up: they are not scary, not do they belong in the Creepypasta fandom. What's worse, is that there's no logical reason for it. They just get cat ears slapped upon their heads. Fuck cute, fuck kawaii, shut the fuck up full stop. I'm sure you've all seen Yinko.

The clothing is so a problem but not many realise it. Mary Sues are often dressed in clothing that seems unfit for constantly being on the move or attacking, such as tight corsets and latex gear (some of these Sues must be dominatrixes.) Unless it's some stage outfit that is marginally comfortable, like a lot of the stuff Harley Quinn would wear, it's alright. Just as long as it's comfortable for them and not flashy and generally non-frightening. Hoodies are commonly used, but it's a cliché that's run throughout the entire thing. Same with masks. If you create a unique style, good. If it kinda looks like Masky's or EJ's, try and switch it up a bit, will ya? Last thing for that, avoid using the Operator Symbol anywhere on their clothing. Just don't. And for the love of god, those collages of clothes and models... Stop.

A lot of the time, they're seen carrying knives, dripping in blood. That's spooky, but not necessarily horrifying. It's overused, to say the least. There are plenty of other weapons and objects your OC could use (e.g. Baseball bat preferably with added nails or barbed wire, scalpels if they have a background with medical history, someone even used a sledgehammer that's fucking epic) But for the love of god, do not use a goddamn katana. I will punch you in the face if you do. If they're not Japanese, it's makes no sense, if they are Japanese, still makes little sense because I don't think every person in Japan happens to own a sword.

Physical appearance such as hair and eyes naturally are also seen as an excuse that just because they're paranormal in a sense they get to be crazy colours. N o. Stop. If your OC's hair is naturally below their waist without split ends and have red/pink/any other colour than natural eyes, it's a dead giveaway that they're a Mary Sue. ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE DIFFERENT COLOURS FOR EACH EYE. Example, one red eye and one blue eye. There's no possible way that could naturally happen. And no, you can't blame it on the fact that "she was experimented on!!1!1!1" It just doesn't work that way. One last thing that isn't too common anymore is enormous breasts. You can probably think of many reasons for that being negative.

• Emo style; dyed hair, flippy fringe, band t-shirts.

• Neko.

• Blood/black substance dripping from eyes, carved smile, stitched up smile, stitches anywhere on body without reasonable explanation

• Unfit clothing; corsets, mini-skirts and shorts, and even hoodies and masks since its cliché if you don't do it right.

• Unnaturally coloured eyes and unnaturally coloured/long hair.

• Carries a knife 24/7
