JaLisa Thompson
After reaching home, I waisted no time getting ready since it was about to hit six o'clock soon.
My aunt decided to keep what she had on and my uncle decided on wearing something more casual like me.
Finally reaching the house, we got out as I brushed down my shirt I was wearing.
My aunt knocked on the door before Mel swing the door open and smiled at me then at my aunt and uncle.
"Mama, dey' hea'." Mel called out to her as he pushed to the side to let us in.
He was dressed simply like us which made me feel good that I wasn't dressing too simple like this morning.
As my aunt went over to Sheila along with my uncle, Mel motioned for me to follow him into the living room.
As I did, I seen August who was sitting down with his phone in his hand. He looked up at me with a sly glare and I guess Mel noticed because he spoke.
"Watchu' glaring at ha' fo'?" Mel asked him.
He didn't respond as he continued to stare at me, making me look elsewhere besides him.
"If you'on tell me and make me move imma hit you upside ya' head." He warned him.
"No reason." August mumbled to him.
"Betta' be." He told him as he took a seat next to him on the couch.
He motioned for me to sit next to him and I hesitantly did, folding my legs.
"Oh wait lemme' go grab my phone from upstairs." He quickly jumped up and jogged up the steps leaving me and August to sit alone.
I looked over at him as I heard him sigh. "Do you got a staring pro'lem?"
Taking back by his comment I quickly spoke. "No but it's a free country last time I checked so I can look if I want to."
"Fine." He slipped his phone inside his sweater pocket and began to stare at me.
As I did so, I couldn't help but to take in his features. His strong jaw line was very eye catching along with his plump lips.
Our stare off soon ended when Mel walked back over to us shaking his head.
"I can tell y'all gon' get along jus' fine." He sat back down in between us and grabbed the remote from the coffee table.

"Thanks again for inviting us over Sheila." My uncle spoke as I stood behind both my aunt and uncle.
"You still ain't tell me whea' you from." Mel appeared next to me.
"Cali." I looked over at him.
"Dang, so why yo-" he was about to say as August came by him.
"Mane' stop harassin' ha' wit' all these questions. Acting like you the police." He said.
"I'm sure if she minded, she woulda' told me ta' stop. Ain't that right Jay." He asked me, wrapping one arm around my shoulder.
"Keep on. I hope yo' girl break up witchu' afta' I'a tell ha' about you flirting wit' other girls." He shook his head.
Mel smacked his lips. "She under age anyways. I ain't no creep."
"JaLisa you coming?" My aunt asked me as both her and my uncle were outside waiting for me and Sheila who was standing at the door.
