(Small Time Pass: Bobby's PoV)
Optimus and I managed to get through breakfast without anyone noticing the ring on my finger. We were all just chatting about other random things. Ratchet was talking to me about what Optimus was like before he became Prime. I was listening, but daydreaming what he was like in my mind, not just Ratchet's. Apparently I had a glazed look on my face because Ratchet waved a hand in front on my face to get my attention.
"Wha-what," I asked, startled slightly. Ratchet just shook his head and began talking with Arcee. I looked around at Optimus, who was indulged in a conversation with Bumblebee about what his warrior ceremony would be like. I listened and fiddled with the ring on my finger, looking at it's markings. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Optimus, his face almost concerned.
"What is wrong," he asked.
"I... I just don't think we should keep it from them...," I replied quietly, my eyes still looking at my ring. After a moment I looked up at him and he nodded. Then I watched as he looked up at everyone and stood up. He took a spoon he had been using for yogurt, and tapped it on a glass. Everyone looked up at their leader. He cleared his throat.
"I have an announcement to make," he said in his deep calm voice. Everyone looked up at his eagerly now, not just blank stares.
"Bobby and I are engaged to be sparkmates." He finished with a kind of triumph in his voice, though barely noticeable.
Everyone cheered. They all got up out of their chairs to greet and congratulate us. We both stood up and looked at each other, nervous expressions on our faces. Ratchet hugged me.
"I knew it. I knew it," he said, beaming. Wheeljack came up behind him.
"We actually all knew it, Doc. That's why we did this." Ratchet glared at him, but Wheeljack just shrugged.
(Time Pass: Bobby's PoV)
It had been a couple days since I told them Bobby and I were engaged. Everyone would jump when we entered the room. Ratchet would always scan Bobby when he got close enough. Most of all everyone was bombarding us with wedding questions.
"Chocolate or vanilla cake, Bobby," asked Arcee when we walked in from a nice walk in Bobby's old woods. Ratchet turned the groundbridge off and just looked at us, beaming. Bobby looked at me, her face carrying an expression of annoyance. I nodded and called my true self in here. My semi came rolling in from our berthroom and stopped in front of us. I disappeared and suddenly my processor was back in my helm. I transformed and everybody looked at me, apprehensive.
"I know all of you are excited, but that does not mean you can take over our choices. You cannot just bombard us with questions every time we come into the room. And Ratchet, would you please stop scanning Bobby?" Ratchet nodded, looking ashamed. In fact, everyone looked ashamed. I looked down at my soon to be sparkmate and smiled softly. She nodded in thank you and I knelt down to pick her up.
