It was home time and Rachel arrived to pick Alice up from school. Before she could make it to the door, she saw Alice walk over to a girl who was on her own on a separate table from the others, and Alice began to whisper something in the girls ear.
It wasn't just a whisper though, it seemed to have been something more. It was almost as if Alice has transformed into some sort of old looking creature. She was still herself in her body, it was just her face that had changed. Rather than me walking in to interrupt, I stood there watching her jaw turn manly and her lips get skinnier.
...
I walked slowly towards the door to see if what was there was real. I thought I was going mad, but I wasn't, it was definitely real. Getting closer to the door trying to get a better view of what was happening, one of Alice's teachers taps my shoulder asking if I was lost with a pleasant smile on her face. I inform her that I was just picking up my daughter, Alice, when moments after her smile turned into a frown and she insisted I had a word with her sometime.
I swing back around to see if anything else had happened while having that awkward conversation with one of Alice's teachers, and Alice is just staring at me with a huge smirk on her face yelling "finally, you made it"
