Before we headed to Daniel's house, we stopped at Daniel's club house, also known as the golf club to get some lunch. To say I was hungry was an understatement, I was starving.

We entered the premises and Daniel parked his SUV right in front of the restaurant. We walked inside and headed to a table that overlooked the golf course. I sat next to the window and was amazed at how beautiful the scenery looked. I remember when I was little, while my parents and Daniel's parents talked, Daniel, his friends, John, Abbi, Charles and I would challenge each other on who could be the first ones to hit the golf ball in all eighteen holes.

I was brought out of my memories when I heard a screeching sound next to the table. A girl who I would never forget was practically yelling and was starting to get the attention of the restaurant.

"Who the hell is she, Jace?" Laura yelled. Before he could answer her, she asked, "Why are you sitting with her?" and the questions kept coming and coming. I snickered when she asked Jace if he was on a lunch date with me. As if she didn't see the rest of the guys. Come on, are you that blind. I thought to myself. I guess Daniel was getting irritated with her accusations of Jace "cheating" on her because he said, "Laura, don't over-react. As you can see, Jace is not the only one sitting at the table. We were all hungry, so we came here to have lunch, and if you must know, this is my cousin Mia. You remember her right, Charles younger sister, Mia? They used to live here too, until..." leaving the sentence hanging in the air, while I mentally finish his sentence.

She looked at me, well more like glared at me, and after awhile, I saw recognition in her eyes. "Oh...yeah...four eyes, right?" she said. I hated she called me that when we were young and I hate it even more now. Now it was my turn to glare at her. I was about to respond back but Jace interceded and said to her, "Laura don't be a bitch. If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all." After Jace snapped at her, I could feel the tension in the room, spike.

She looked at Jace then looked at me and snarled, "I don't like you." "Well the feeling is mutual."  Dismissing her. "Now if you are quite done with your petty tamptrums, I would like to eat something before I turn thirty." I said and smiled sweetly while waving the tips of my fingers at her. She growled and I had to hold back a laugh that wanted to come out really bad, because her face was red as a tomato.

She left while stomping her foot like a child being denied candy, after she saw I was not the little girl that ran away and cried in my own corner. I could hold my ground, which is something I have been doing since I was in junior high.

A very cute boy and around my age, approached our table. "Hi guys what can I get you all to drink?" he asked. He took everyone's drink orders, and I noticed that his eyes lingered on Jared before he left our table.

'I wonder what 'that' look was about? Does the cute waiter have a thing for Jared?' I thought to myself. I looked to the waiter then Jared and saw that his eyes were watching the retreating back of our waiter. Now I had a lot of more questions running through my mind.

My thoughts of Jared and the waiter was interrupted when Jace said, "Thanks, I think you just made it worse for me."

"Why, you won't get your desert tonight?" I know I sounded like a bitch, but the bitch herself brings the worst out, in me.

But I guess my comment pissed off Jace because he said, "You don't even know her so you shouldn't judge. You just got here, so what would you know."

Now I was getting pissed off because he made it sound like it was my fault for her outburst when I was just minding my own business. 'Who the hell do he think he is?' I thought to myself.

I have just lost my appetite. I was irritated because of Laura and now I was pissed off at Jace for making me seem like the bad person. I have spent the past years in misery. I did not need to feel like that again from anyone, not anymore.

I got up and turned to Daniel and asked, "You still live in the same house right?"

"Yeah." He replied slowly, unsure of why I was asking about the house. I got up and started walking to the door. "But where are you going? You didn't eat yet."

"To the house. I lost my appetite." I said to him waving my left hand back.

Then Jake piped up, "Oh...Come on M. Don't be like that." I tuned them out and headed to the house.
