Monster

Her cries in the dead of night bring me back to life.

What is she doing here? She's not safe with me anywhere.

This is another mistake I can't continue to make.

How long has the monster been out? How long has he played?

Not enough indeed, he can't be kept at bay.

I'm the one to blame, for we are one in the same.

The monster wants to harm her, he wants her to be afraid.

I want to protect her, but fear the monster will come out and stay.

Oh no, the monster is coming out now. He's sees nothing but red.

I'll never forgive myself if the monster leaves her dead.
