(Short chapter)
"I'm not sure about this..." I said reluctantly as I stood in front of Freddie's house.
"Why not? You've slept here before." Freddie said as he walked beside me with my stuff. I told him I could carry them but he insisted.
"Because, it feels like I'm living with my mom again." I replied, chuckling afterwards.
"Think of it as a very long sleepover, we'll have loads of fun!" Freddie exclaimed as he struggled to get his keys out his pocket.
"Freddie quit doing everything for me. Give me my things." I said as I motioned my hands out. Freddie sighed and gave me my things. I smiled at him and he pouted. He quickly got a hold on his keys and opened the door.
"Welcome home!" Freddie explained as he ran inside. His cat Delilah was on the couch staring at us. That cat gave me the creeps.
"Oh my baby! You're so precious." Freddie said as Delilah walked over to him. He bent down and picked her up, slowly petting her.
"Say hi to John, he'll be living with us." Freddie told Delilah. The cat glared at me and hissed. I nervously laughed and walked passed them into the guest room.
"I'll just unpack upstairs." I said hurriedly as I tried to avoid the cat. You could say I have a little fear of her.
"I'll help you." Freddie said as he followed me, and Delilah followed him.
"That's fine Fred, you've helped me enough." I said nervously.
"Don't be silly," he said as he helped me anyways. Delilah hoped on the bed and stared at us. She kept turning her head when I looked at her.
"All done, now let's have some tea." Freddie said as he rushed towards the kitchen. I slowly followed, but not before Delilah purred softly at me and walked out.
"Freddie, I'm going to get a second job and help you out, okay? I feel like I'm taking advantage of you." I said as I entered the kitchen. Everywhere was so fancy and I felt horrible for not doing shit to deserve this.
"Nonsense. Don't waste your time." He replied back.
"I am getting a second job and that's final."
Freddie pouted and whined. I wasn't falling for it.
"Fine, but it's going to be lonely without you." Freddie said as he started to sniffle. He was such an act.
"Freddie, just give me my damn tea." I said as we both giggled. I drank the tea in silence as Delilah rubbed against my legs which scared me.
"She really likes you, I'm jealous." Freddie said as he bent down to pat her head.
"Haha, lucky me." Delilah stopped weaving in and out of my legs and she decided to lay down on my feet. Strange cat.
"John, we are like a family! Delilah is our little baby." Freddie cooed as he stared at us. I rolled my eyes and prayed that Delilah wouldn't bite me.
"Great, we have a cat baby. What went wrong?" I said playfully and Freddie chuckled.
"She's perfect the way she is, isn't that right Delilah?" Freddie asked and Delilah mewed softly in response. I guess she is kinda cute.
"She said, 'Fuck you daddy, I'm amazing.'" Freddie said in a high pitched voice to "impersonate" Delilah. I laughed.
"I'm the father?"
"No, you're daddy."
"Dad. Daddy sounds..."
"You don't like that, daddy?" Freddie whined playfully as I blushed.
"Ohmygod, you have a daddy kink!" Freddie exclaimed as he started laughing really hard.
"No! It was just the way you said it!" I yelled back embarrassingly. Freddie was still laughing and my face was burning up.
"I'm kidding love, I don't mind if you do though." Freddie said as he winked and walked into his room.
"What an act. I said to myself as I looked down at Delilah who was still at my feet. She was looking up at me with those huge shining eyes.
"I need to sleep, so get off me please?" I asked Delilah. She didn't budge. I sighed as I reluctantly scooped her up with my hands. I walked with her inside my new room and placed her at the end of my bed. I climbed in my bed and tried to fall asleep. But Delilah thought it was the perfect time to meow repeatedly over and over and over.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I got up from the bed. She hopped off the bed and stood in front of the door. I'm guessing she wanted me to follow her, so I did. She lead me down the hall until we were in front of Freddie's room.
