A couple of days had past by and Caleb and I were still a bit awkward. I needed to talk to my best friend Ariel. She always knew what to tell me even though I never listen half the time. We've known each other since 5th grade when we had to do a school play on Monsters Inc. She was Sully and I was Mike Wazowski. We never talk about that horrible past. What I loved most about her was how well she got along with everyone. She's amazing all around, those hazel eyes and big curly hair can make anyone fall in love with her sweetness just like honey. She always knew how to make me feel better so I decided to invite her for frozen yogurt after school. As I look up I see her down the hall coming towards me.
English class

"Ariel!""Hi Callie," She said as she smiled and opened her arms for a hug.
"How about we go for froyo after school, I kind of need to talk to you about stuff that's been going on."
"Yeah of course!"
"Okay thanks, it's just overwhelming and I think I'm just being dramatic."

English class started, out of all my classes this had to be one of my favorite besides theater. Today in class we discussed poetry. I loved it because poetry to me is a way of expressing yourself mysteriously on paper without having to say a word and explaining it because someone always related to it differently. Poetry is filled with emotions and lately my mind was this emotional place that carried deeper thoughts than what I could handle. I was glad because school went fairly fast, Caleb hanged out with his friends so I heard nothing from him, but just some simple text to make sure I wasn't mad. I need to let out how I felt to Ariel asap.

Froyo place"Wow its been a minute since last time I had frozen yogurt."
"Literally same Ariel, and you know I loooooove froyo."
"Haha queen of froyo. But anyway what did you need to talk about."
"Ummm... Caleb," I said in a soft voice because I know how much she dislikes him.
"Oh that piece of crap of boyfriend you have."
"He's not a pi-"
"Come on Callie, he's such a two face arrogant guy that you're just too hooked on him to realize."
"Okay but I love him. And that's exactly why I need to talk to you."
"Continue..."
"Well he's been acting strange and idk if it's just me exaggerating."
"How so?"
"He's been so distant. You know how I told you about my dad and how his business is a bit rocky at the moment, I told Caleb about it and didn't seem to care. Yet he thinks it's okay to ask if we are still going in our New York trip this summer."
"You have to be kidding me Callie. He's such a jerk. You know I've never liked him and this just made me add more reasons as to why."
"But I mean he's probably excited for this trip and-"
"No listen Callie, I don't want to hurt you, but have you ever thought that maybe he's with you because I mean of course you're beautiful but for what you have, and not for what you have to offer as an individual. You are more than just a pretty face with money and captain of the volleyball team. You are filled with happiness, love, humor and kindness. Don't let him take over you.
"But he makes me happy. He makes me feel important."
"I think you mean you make him feel important with all those gifts and patience you have for him and why does he make you feel important because of the popularity? You need someone that will make you feel wanted, someone who will be there when you are at your worst, but can still make you feel safe."
"Ariel, prince charming doesn't exist. Remember that."
"Maybe not, but at least I know that there's someone out there that will make you his priority."

The talk I had with Ariel was important to me. She see things differently, but why is it that I can't see myself with no one if it isn't with Caleb. I need to talk to him.
