The night was long. Everything in my head was building over me. Thoughts just kept coming. I was scared, nervous and shocked. What if that guys wasn't okay, what if he didn't make it through. Drunk driving never leads to anything good, you can harm yourself and others. Responsibility is important and I just wish the world would understand that. After a long drive after dropping of Ariel at her house, I get to the hospital. Colorado Medical Center, I enter through the ER. When I enter I go to registration. Scared I ask for help.

"Hi there, how can I help you?""Yeah, hi um I was looking for a patient."
"Okay what's the name?"
I pull out the paper where I wrote all his information, nervously I unfold it and look up back at her.
"Ummm... his name. Ethan Dolan."
"Thank you. Okay yes, may in just ask are you a relative?"
"Well... no I'm not, but I need to see him. It's really important."
"I understand but it's past visiting hours and its-"
"Please, I promise I won't take long I just need to know he's okay."
"Fine, I'll give you 20 minutes, but please make sure to not be loud."
"No problem! It will just be a quick visit. Thank you."
--
She smiled at me, gave me a visitors pass and let me through. The room was 2-63, as I search for the room I realize I don't even know this person. What will I tell him. Oh hey my bf ran hit you with his car and I just came to see if you're alive. I decide to turn back around, not going to make a fool of myself. But then I stop myself, the right thing to do is make sure he's okay and I'll just leave. I look up and it reads room 2-63. So I enter.
--
"Ehhh, hello?"Silence for a solid 5 seconds, ad I'm about to leave I hear someone.
"Yes. Nurse," he said in a soft low voice.
"Oh no, umm my name is Callie."
"Wait, Callie."
He looks over at me surprised as if I'm not stranger to him. I go over to him, he's brushed all over, but doesn't seem to be in critical condition. That was such a sign of relief. His messy shaggy hair cover what seems so be stiches near his left eyebrow. He stares at me which such warmth those brown eyes with green rays give, my body shivers. A very familiar look but I can't seem to know from where. As he lays there he looks so fragile and small almost wanting comfort. I didn't expect for him to be this young, practically my age, if not a year or two older.
"I'm sorry, but Callie you're the least person I'd expect here."
"Wait I, have we meet before ?"
"Yes. Well no. We go to the same school. Theater class? Don't worry I didn't think you'd remember me... such a beautiful popular girl like you would never notice a nobody like me."
"No don't say that. I'm so sorry, Ethan. I feel like a complete jerk, you looked familiar but-"
"Haha no don't worry, I'm pretty invisible at school. But I'm glad you came to see me. May I ask what exactly happened?"
"I just wanted to know you were okay... my boyfriend he umm, well he was drunk and hit you. They had a party and are you okay?"
"Last thing I remember was going home and then I heard ambulance, but you boyfriend... Caleb right."
"Yes Caleb... how do you know?"
"I was in the baseball team, until he didn't want me in the team so yeah..."
"Oh I didn't kn-"
--
The nurse came in and we looked at her at the same time."Miss, your 20 minutes are up."
"Okay thank you, I'll leave just let me say my goodbyes."
"Make it quick please."
She shuts the door.
"Wait Callie," he says almost whispering, "thanks again for coming."
"Yeah, of course. I hope you feel better and just one thing I ask please don't press charges on my boyfriend, he didn't mean it."
"Oh right, don't worry I won't. Just know I won't do it just for you. I don't want to make this a bigger deal for his reputation."
"Thank you..." I look down practically embarrassed.
"Stay safe Callie, goodnight."
"You too, feel better."
--
As I walk out, I feel sorry for myself. To not know we were in the same class. How full of myself was I? A face like that who could forget it, so sweet and innocent. He was okay and that's all that mattered though. I needed to know more oh who he is. Something about him, made me feel different. But Caleb...
