The conversation I had with Ariel made me think about my relationship with Caleb. Did he really love me ? I don't know how to feel or how to take things I love him, but how much longer will I let him treat me this way. I need to know what he wants. I know he doesn't mean the things he does, but I won't let him take advantage of me either. I need to talk to him and know what he wants for both of us. He usually calls me every Friday and we stay up late at night talking, but this time he didn't. It was already 10pm, so I decided to call him.
--
"Hi baby..."

"Callie, babe oh I'm so sorry today is Friday. I totally forgot to call you."

"I can tell, I just called to make sure you were okay."

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine, I just had a long day that's all."

"I get it, I mean it's not like you have to call me every Friday. But hey listen we need to talk."

"About what?"

"Us..."

"What about us."

"Idk it's just-" I pause for a solid 5 seconds. "You've been distant and-"

"What I'm sorry I didn't know you felt that way. I just have a lot on my plate right now with baseball."

"You're so right, I mean I should know how it gets being in volleyball. Just forget I said anything."

"Look to make it up come to the party tomorrow night and ask Ariel to come."

"Are you serious? I'd love that."

"Sounds like a plan. Love ya Cal, but I should get some sleep it's past midnight."

"Okay love you Caleb and goodnight."
--
He seemed so dry. But I guess in all relationships there's up and down moments. This was just a rocky time that I was just overwhelming and making it a bigger deal. Tomorrow at the party I had to look good and remind Caleb why he chose me. I needed to gain that confidence I've always had again.

Saturday
First thing I did when I woke up was call Ariel. I needed to let her know that we were going out tonight. It wouldn't be a problem to convince her because party is like her middle name. I had to enjoy this party.
--
"Goooood morning Ariel."

"Morning Callie, why are you up so early on a Saturday?"

"Idk actually. But what I do know is that we're going out tonight, so you can't make plans."

"Where if I may ask?"

"Jake's house, he's having a party."

"Oooooh Jake's yeah I heard the baseball boys talking about it. I'm down."

"Okay! I'll be at your house by 7pm"

"Sounds good Callie but I'm going back to sleep."

"fine alright haha bye"
--
When I got off the phone I decided to go shower and start thinking about what to wear as it was in the shower and my mind started wondering just thinking about being in love and how it works how do you know if it's actual love or if it's just becomes a routine. loving someone shouldn't feel like a responsibility but rather more pleasure give them strength going up not pushing them down. Being there for the person whenever you need them. Love should be felt and received every day if not why be with that person or be part of their life. After my whole shower dilemma about love and whatnot. I  kill time and realized I had 3 more hours until I picked up Ariel. So I went to my closet and pick out black dress which was tight to my body and the back was lace. I decided to straighten my hair and apply a very little makeup I felt good. I get to the car and I start driving over to Ariel's. I see her open the door and she walks out wearing a red t-shirt dress with a messy bun. She looked fabulous.
--
"Hot daaaaamn."

"I say the same for you Callie!"

"Why thank you."

"Alright let's get this party started."
--
We arrive at Jake's house and there's already tons of people here. Unknown faces and all I can see is Caleb. He notices me and walks over with a big smile on his face. I get excited, for his approach and as I turn around Ariel is nowhere to be seen at this point.
--
"Oooooh baby looking soooo goooood," Caleb says as he grabs me tight and kisses me. I smell the alcohol.

"you're kidding me, get off you're so drunk."

"baby I don't know what you talking about I'm perfectly fine."

"I thought we would enjoy ourselves with no drinking."

"oops guess it's too late for that right hahaha. But hey I still love you. Don't be a party-pooper Callie have fun."

"Don't worry I'll have fun promise I won't ruin it for you."

"That's why you're the best."

"Awww well aren't you the sweetest, Caleb," I say in the most sarcastic and annoyed way.

"Thanks I know. But I'll be back soon, muah!"
--
He walks out from me just like that. We were suppose to have fun together with no drinking. As I lookarpunf everyone that was at the house I was literally drinking. I knew Ariel would go with Jake I mean they've been crushing on each other since 9th grade I just never know why they don't make it official. Girls are kissing boys they're smoking weed drinking and even passed out. I just don't fit in with this crowd and sit there for a solid hour with no sign of Caleb. And just like that I hear big noise outside I run towards the door and I see it's Caleb's car. I ran out and I see man on the floor his bike is about 5 feet away from him. Caleb Gets Out the passenger seat to see if he's ok. As a as Tyler gets out of the driver seat confused. Everyone is confused and doesn't know what to do. They start to leave without even noticing the guy so I called the ambulance. They get there in a matter of minutes. Once they get there they help him and I ran over to Caleb to make sure he's okay know what happened.
--
"Caleb what the hell just happened?"

"I-I... I don't know. It all happened so fast. Tyler an I were just messing around and he pressed the pedal. The guy didn't have his bike lights on..."

"But you're drinking, what males you think it's okay to get in the car."

"I wasn't behind the fucking wheel, so don't come at me."

"Are you serious, it's YOUR car, this man is injured because you were to irresponsible."

"Well I'm calling my dad before the cops get here."

"So you think your dad, whenever you fuck up?"

"Look Callie of you're going to be lecturing me, I think you should just go."

"I don't even know who you are anymore, but you're right I'll leave. Your dad will come to the rescue soon."
--
And just like that I walked away. I see Ariel shocked, I grab her by the hand and leave. I got the man's name and hospital he had been taken to. I needed to know he was okay.
