I woke up early that morning, I wasn't your average teen because I actually liked Mondays. The reason I like them was because it was the only day Caleb didn't have baseball practice and I didn't have volleyball practice. Every morning I'd do this routine where I'd look at myself smile and say it was going to be a good day. It seems to work half the time. So I always do it. Once I got ready I went downstairs and saw my parents eating breakfast.
--
"Morning Mr. And Mrs. Ramzy."

"Correction dad and mom."

"Hahah okay mom, I just love messing with you two."

"Okay sweetie, hurry up and eat so we can get going."

"Gotcha ma"
--
My mom was a stay home mom ever since my dad's cyber security business launched 10 years ago and well since they needed to find somewhere to expand the business in more small local areas we moved to a small town in Colorado about 6 years ago. I don't dislike it here but I miss the city. The only good thing about all of this is that I meet my boyfriend Caleb at the end of freshman year in high school. He comes from a very wealthy family and loves expensive things so I guess that's why we understood eachother so perfectly. We've been together for about a year now and I don't think I've ever been happier. I snap out of my little world I live in and realize my mom is waiting for me in the car.
--
"Omg bye dad, love you !"

"See ya Cal, have a good day at school."

"I will dad, you too. I mean not at school but at work."
--
I get in the car and my mom is ready to just drop me off at school like asap.

--
"Mom why are you speeding like you're some kind of Nascar driver?"

"Umm.. because I have cooking class at 8:30 am and we should have left the house about 15 minutes ago so technically you should have been at school by now."

"Oh wow. Cooking class, do you not know about youtube? Simply watch those cooking tutorials and it's cheaper."

"Well Callie I think it will be fun and get to meet some new people, but anyway how's school going?"

"It's going good, but I'm so ready for it to be over."

"I know why, you're excited for the trip to New York with Caleb!"

"Exactly, which I don't understand why you and dad are going if we have Jim and Tony to keep us safe."

"Well because you are both underage teenagers with very active hormones atm."

"Hahaha WHAT active hormones, okay mom first of all I think you can note to yourself that I am mature enough, but okay."

"Yes I agree, but it's better safe than sorry."

"Okay mom this conversation is over... I'm glad I'm at school now. I'll see you later. Bye love you!"
--
Sun Village High School
When I get to the door I see Caleb waiting for me at our usual spot which was where we had our first kiss. It's a bench right behind the library that no one goes to. Which makes it better bc it's like our own little spot of memory.
--
"Morning, babe."

"Hi Callie, I'm glad you're finally here. Um I'm sorry but I'm going to let you go okay I really have to meet some buddies from baseball okay?"

"Yeah sure, don't want them to be waiting on you."

"Aww thanks you're the best, I'll see you later today okay."

"Okay Caleb just make sure to not miss class..."
--
Caleb and I were so close back then and I mean in love if I can say so, but these past couple of months things have been different. He's not as caring and thoughtful like before. My dad's business hasn't been at its best lately so Caleb and I don't go out and I don't spend on him as much as I'd like. He's not around as much but I think I'm overreacting to this so I simply brush it off. I mean as we get older our priorities change and people change in general. Caleb doesn't have any dreams nor desires because he says his family's money is enough to get him through life Being in all these activities in school make us the power couple of school and I have to meet these expectations in order to get through high school in a fun memorable way. We argue a lot when we talk about our future, so I really hope this summer trip will make us be what we use to be.

*Lunch Time*
I met up with Caleb like we usually did for lunch. I think we literally get the same thing everyday, turkey sandwich. Well we sit down, and as I look over he's smiling at his phone. Trust me I'm not the jealous type because I'm pretty confident with myself, but I still get curious.
--
"So... what are you smiling at, if I may ask?"

"Oh umm nothing, it's just the rest of the boys from baseball and I are planning like a kickback for this weekend."

"That sounds fun, but I'm guessing that means you were too excited about that and didn't go to math class today?"

"Are you some kind of wizard or something because you guessed right. I promise it wasn't on purpose though"

"Okay maybe not but yiu had a test today, Caleb. If you want to continue in the baseball team you have to be more responsible."

"Hahah since when do you act like my mom. You dint have to worry about me, I'll figure out something with the teacher."

"I don't act like your mom, I just care about you."
I look down upset, I mean his response was so unnecessary. He notices and grabs my hand, so I look up.

"Hey, I'm sorry babe. I didn't mean to sound like an ass, I know you care, but-"

"No you're right. I act like your mom. Plus it's your grades not mine."
--
I let go of his hand and the rest of lunch is pure silence between us. The cafeteria was crowded and their were voices everywhere, yet it still felt so empty. I felt empty. But why, there was nothing wrong. Once again over thinking everything.
