Athena struggled to open her eyes. She had no idea what had just happened. Slowly, she opened her eyes and clutched her head in pain.

There was a dull throbbing at the back of her head as if someone had hit her there with a sharp object.

She took in her surroundings. The walls were grey with the wallpaper peeling off, and the ground that she lay on was damp with some kind of sticky liquid. A horrible stench immediately invaded her nostrils, sending her mind into a frenzy of fear.

She got up and ran to the door nearby. It was locked.

"Hey! Let me out!" She pounded her fists on the wooden door. There was no response. She needed her medicine. Without it, she didn't know how much more her body could take.

Athena screamed. Her lungs were weak and tears began to stream down her cheeks, stinging her eyes.

Who would want her in this state? She didn't have any crazy enemies. As far as she knew, she didn't talk to anyone outiside of school. But somehow, she felt that this was all planned. How else would anyone know about her mother?

Even she didn't know where she was.

A few hours passed. Athena was lying in the corner of the room, blood leaking from her mouth. She couldn't stop the coughing. She needed her medication. Bringing a hand to her mouth, she wiped the blood from her lips and sat up straighter.

Now she could only hope for a miracle.

ROMAN'S P.O.V

I saw her make her way towards the main road. I had no clue what I was doing watching her, but I couldn't stop myself. Call me a stalker if you will.

I had to talk to her. There was no other way to clarify what I was feeling.

After a while, she ended up outside a huge house. I knew all too well who lived there.

Delilah.

But why would she invite Athena this late? They weren't friends.

Atleast I hoped not.

She stood outside the door that was slightly ajar and I watched her intently.

But before I could step out of the shadows, two men had her in their grasp.

I couldn't do anything. I guess I was too scared to step out and face them.

Then I thought I could call someone. But that would make me look bad.

Roman Coleman stalking a girl? No thanks. I didn't want that headline blessing the papers tomorrow.

So I followed them. They put her in a car and I gritted my teeth.

They better not hurt her.

I quickly got in my car after they left and followed slowly behind, keeping myself a safe distance away.

After a while the car stopped outside a decrepit old building in the middle of nowhere.

I watched the men take her in and after half an hour, they left.

I guessed they were working for someone with a lot of power.

But was that person in there with Athena?

I didn't know.

There was only one way to find out.
