Me, Myself, And Him

NINA'S POV

After having lunch, I went to my locker. While I was getting my books for my next class, a boy with blonde hair came up to me.

"Hey, you new here," said the boy.

"Yea, I just transferred here. Today's my first day. My name is Nina."

"The name's Ryan," said Ryan with a wink. 

"I see that you like taking pictures," he said nodding his head towards my camera."

"Yea, my father is a photographer and I want to take over the family business."

"Well, there's a photography club here and I'm a member if you are interested," he stepped closer. "I could talk to Mrs. Willams about letting you in."

"Really," I jump with excitement.

"Only on one condition. You have to be my new subject in my project."

"Deal!" We shook hands on it. As the bell rang for last class, we parted our ways.

Skip to the end of the day----------

After I went to get my stuff out of my locker, I made my way to photography club. As I walked, I felt my phone buzzing. It was a text from Jenny. She texted me that Luke canceled because of soccer practice. I texted her that I had to take a rain check as well because Ryan needed me to help him with a photography project. Once I entered the room, I saw that Ryan was prepared.

" Are you ready?" Ryan started to smirk.

"I'm ready when you are."

"Here. Put this one." He handed me a dress. "J- man will help you with hair." Ryan motioned his hand in the direction towards a tall, handsome boy with brown hair.

"J-J-Joseph?!" I said with confusion and a bit of excitement. That was when the boy turned around.

"N-Nina," Joseph said, turning around with curiosity. All of a sudden, his eyes sparked up with happiness, with his mouth turning into a wide grin. "NINA!" He came running towards me with his arms. He grabbed me into a strong and loving embrace. I wrapped my arms around him like never before. Happiness started filling up inside.

"Oh, how I have missed you," he said with tears welling up. What felt like forever in this embrace, we let go of one another. 

"I see that you too know each other," Ryan interrupted, tapping his foot. He seemed a bit jealous, but I paid no attention to it. "You know what. Just explain it to me later. Now, lets us get back to business." Ryan pushed me into a dressing room. After getting ready, I waite for Ryan to get everything set up. As I waited, Joseph came up to me.

"Hey Nina, could I talk to you for a moment?"

"Sure, but I have to help Ryan soon." We walked to the corner. Joseph hugged me once more.

"It's really good to see you. How's it been," Joseph said with his kind eyes.

"It's been better. How you left Brookeville?" 

"I didn't mean to. I left because m-," he was interrupted suddenly.

"Ready, Nina?" Ryan started to become irritated.

"Yea, I'm coming. I'll talk to you afterward. Here's my number." As I gave my number to Joseph, I walked off with Ryan to start his photography project. During the photoshoot, I could have sworn that there was someone in the doorway, but the thought soon left my mind. After the photo shoot, Ryan walked up to me.

"Well, that's all for today. Welcome to the club."

"Thank you so much, Ryan!"

"So, Nina, wanna hang out with me and Luke?"

"Sure, why not." As I finished putting my regular clothes back on, I saw Joseph adjusting his camera. "Hey Joseph, I just wanted to come and say that I have to go, but I wanted to know if you wanted to stop my house for dinner?"

"Of course! I'll see you around 6!" Joseph gave me a hug and a kiss on my forehead. "I'll see you then," he said with a smile and a wink. I blushed at the sight. As I hugged him once more, I made my way to the hallway to find Ryan.

"Over here!" Ryan was waving his hands. I walked up to Ryan and we made our way out the side door of the school. From a distance, I could see Luke sitting on a bench.

"I have a plan to scare Luke. You walk up to Luke casually and I'll jump Luke from behind."

"Alright. This will be fun." Ryan began walking down the path that leads to the bench.

"Sup man. How was practice?" I began running as fast as I could.

"It was alright I g-ahh!"

Luke and I tumbled over and landed hard on the ground. We started laughing up a storm. After a while, I noticed Luke staring at me. 

"What is it?" I looked at Luke confused. He didn't seem to move. After realizing that I was on top of him only inches away, I quickly go up. After we both stood up, we both looked away blushing as we rubbed the back of our heads.

"I should probably get going now." I began running away to the bus stop.

"BUT WAIT! NINA!" Luke began yelling.

"I'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW!" I waved back at Luke and Ryan. Once I got to the bus stop, the bus arrives. Once I got on the bus, I sat down and waited for the bus to arrive at my stop. To pass time, I listened to my music and started reading.
