I wrote a new short story today. It was rather dark, but what's new?
With this story, I literally just wrote whatever came to mind. I was like "A man swings a sword at another guy." and I went with it.
I kind of like it, though it's not my best work, nor is anything else you've ever seen. (Unless you've read my updated version of God Trap's Prologue, that's the best thing I've ever written.)
The reason I wrote off the top of my head was because that is one of many tactics that some people use for NaNoWriMo, which is obviously still on my mind. They don't plan or outline, they just write.
After attempting this method, I believe that I might be able to do that, but not for something as long as 50,000 words.
I've already decided that each year I complete NaNoWriMo I will make the next year harder for myself in some way, so maybe that will be how I do it next year, or another future year.
