Daniel has bloody battles to fight in this neighbor against neighbor war. Jenny's own brother has joined the other side. She worries for them both, especially at the thought that they could end up fighting against each other. She hopes, prays for their safety. Then, a certain Yankee captain trespasses on her family farm. . .
Things happen. A lot happens with both Jenny and with Daniel. They write, they see each other despite the war. It is a time when everything is changing but some things never change. For Jenny, only one thing matters. . .
