selena: i was busy doing work

justin: is that for real or an excuse?

selena: are you serious right now?
selena: it's a real answer

justin: are you still busy?

selena: no i'm at home now

justin: can we facetime now?

selena: why were you trying to earlier anyways?

justin: wanted to see your face and hear your voice

selena: that sounds creepy

justin: lol i swear i'm not trying to be

selena: sigh, okay call again

"Hey! I'm outside right now, I needed to grab something out in my car," I say with a kind smile, seeing Justin smiling as well.

"Aye, you look cute though." He smiles.

"Is someone with you?" I ask moving my head as if that'll help me see who's next to him.

"Just my friend Nick," he replies, showing a quick glance of Nick before he appears again.

"Why do you look red?" I wonder while I begin opening the door to my apartment.

"The sun is beginning to set."

"Oh right totally forgot that you're 3 hours behind," I utter more to myself, remembering the small detail, making it inside my bedroom.

"You have a cute voice," he compliments while I settle down on my bed.

"Thank you, I don't know always thought my voice wasn't as girly as other girls." I laugh, messing with my bangs a little.

"Well it's cute," he says with a grin, showing his perfect teeth.

"Thank you. Your nose piercing and cross earring looks good on you," I try to compliment back but find what I said is stupid so I laugh it off.

"Thanks," he says, chuckling after making me flush red in embarassment.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm facetiming you," he answers, stating the obvious. I swear I'll slap myself right now for asking a dumb question.

"Right," I drag out the word. In the background I hear small sounds of a dog barking. "Do you have a dog?" I ask excitedly.

"Yeah." He turns his head around and calls out for his dog by making noises with his lips and snapping his fingers.

His dog comes by his legs, I'm guessing since the screen shows all different sorts of movement.

Justin is once again seen clearly with his dog. My eyes widen with adoration at how cute the dog looks and is.

"Selena meet Esther. Esther meet Selena," Justin introduces us and I laugh at that little gesture since I'm being introduced to a dog.

"Esther is very adorable!" I gawk staring at the puppy through the screen, while it looks back at me with a slight tilt of it's head in confusion.

"More adorable than me?" Justin remarks.

"Well duh," I reply with no hint of sarcasm.

"I'm hurt," Justin says in fake pained voice. "Shit Selena, I got to go. Esther just pissed on my lap."

I laugh hysterically while I nod my head. "B-bye," I stutter out through laughter.

"Bye," he quickly responds.

Before he hangs up I hear a small annoyed groan come from him.

btw i didn't bother trying to be detailed with the call bc this book is mostly simplicity that is until i get to the p.o.v type of chapters
