"Augh- Dammit!" I shouted as I dropped the hot bowl and kicked it across the floor in frustration. I had forgotten to use mittens again!

"What's wrong (Y/N)?" I heard Susanoo's monotonous voice echoe from the doorway.

"N-nothing! DON'TCOMEINHERE-" My shrill command was disregarded as the Teigu calmly walked into the Base's kitchen, noticing the mess I had made. He stared down at the now broken bowl of food, and brought his gaze up to me, and then down at the bowl again. This lasted for several uninterrupted seconds, while my temper was on the verge of giving out. If he's just gonna stand there and stare, why won't he leave? I asked myself as Susanoo finally rested his eyes on me.

"I'll help you." He stated as he bent down and picked up the remains of Night Raid's dinner. I mumbled a sheepish, yet annoyed thanks at his eventual decision to help prepare the meal, and his eyes twinkled a tiny bit. I took this as the closest thing to a smile from him, and walked over to the opposite end of the kitchen, where the counters were. I walked past the island bar, and Susanoo soon followed, bowl in hand.

"What are you making?" The giant asked as he dropped the bowl and food into a nearby trashbin.

"Some salad, roast beef, and potatoes." I replied as I started to peel the potatoes. The other members seemed fine with my inability to make fancy or over-the-top meals, so I was perfectly content with making whatever I could without pushing my cuisine-making limits too much.

"I'll prepare the roast beef, then. Could you do the salad and potatoes?" Susanoo asked, his usual emotionless mask being displayed.

"Of course....Just one..second.." I tried to keep the conversation going as I quickly peeled more and more potatoes. Once I finished the eighth one, I accidentally cut myself with the peeler; a thin stream of red flowing down my hand. I drew my hand back, dropped the peeler and potato and hissed at the newly made wound.

As if out of thin air, Susanoo was beside me, wrapping a clean rag over my slightly injured hand.

"T-thanks..." I thanked him, though I accidentally made it sound too forced that it should have been. He waited about two seconds later, replied with a simple You're welcome, and lightly pushed me away from the counter carrying the potato peeler and potatoes. I stood awkwardly near the island bar, unsure of what to do next. I watched Susanoo as he reluctantly decided to throw the potato away, and fervently wash the peeler, until it was spotless. He then quickly finished my potato duty, and continued on the roast beef.

"Is there anything I can do...?" My voice started fading by the end of my suggestion. Susanoo turned around, looked at my still wrapped up hand, and quietly shook his head no. That was when I lost my temper a bit.

"What?! I was the one making this damn meal in the first place! ME!" I practically began shouting obscenities at the Teigu, while he stared at me impassively. Why am I getting so goddamn upset? It's just a meal! I repeatedly told myself, as I continued to shout at the blue haired giant.

It's not just the meal, I suddenly realized. I need to prove myself to Night Raid that I can do this; a simple task of making dinner! I can't have Susanoo helping me every step of the way! They will NEVER rely on me if I got injured by a stupid potato pe-

"Are you done?" Susanoo's cool voice cut through my internal (and external) rant. I immediately stopped screaming, my face quickly turning a darker shade of red by the second.

"Yeah..." I said, my voice now very quiet.

"Good. Now, leave so you can clean yourself up."He commanded calmly, as I obeyed without any child-like defiance.

After having wrapped up my hand in dressing, I tiptoed back into the kitchen, so as to not get noticed by the other members and be questioned about the reason why I wasn't in the kitchen working.

"Hey, Suu..." I cautiously announced my presence to the Teigu. He slowly turned back towards me, placing the giant salad bowl he was holding on the island bar.

"You're bandaged up, good. Are you ready to continue making the meal?" He asked while turning back towards the counter. What?! Why would he even let me in the kitchen with my clumsiness and temper?! I repeatedly asked myself, and accidentally asked aloud at least once.

"Because you only need further instruction and help." Randomly, Susanoo's solution made you quickly become nervous and shy.

"W-whatever! I don't think I need your help, but I guess I'll take it..." I instantly became defensive. Susanoo's face fell, but he quickly came back.

"Why do you put up this front for others? Are you worried about how they will think of you?" Susanoo calmly responded with a question. Damn, he hit the nail on the head with this one!

"W-w-w- Yeah...." I tried to make up a stammered excuse, but decided against it.

"You know that you don't need to be so worried of other's opinions. The members of Night Raid have accepted you the way you are." Once again, Susanoo got right to the point.

"Y-yeah....I guess I'll take your advice.." I stated as I slowly lowered my defenses. His lips slowly curled up into a small smile from across the room, and I froze. Susanoo smiled. Susanoo. Smiled. I'VENEVERSEENHIMSMILEBEFOREWHATISWRONGWITHHIM?!

In response to this, I started laughing, a slight rosy tint being added to my cheeks. I can't believe how I'm acting around him. Do I....actually like him?

"Is dinner ready yet?" I heard Lubbock shout from the dining room.

"Yup! We're coming out now!" I shouted in response, while Susanoo and I walked out into the dining room. I was carryng the large salad bowl, while Susanoo was behind me, balancing the plate of roast beef in one hand, potatoes in the other.

Sadly, my arch nemesis clumsiness had the audacity to strike again; and at such an inopportune time!

I slipped on a wet spot while on the way to the dining table, and stumbled back into Susanoo's stomach, fiercely knocking both of us backwards. We both fell to the ground, and the food flew up into the air. When I looked up, it was literally raining food. While the Boss and Akame's faces slowly twisted into faces of pure contempt at my spectacular blunder, I couldn't help but laugh (Neither could Leone, Lubbock, Mine and Tatsumi).

At least with this royal mistake, I'll be able to realize how much fun it is to have Susanoo teach me how to do things right.

(I hope that this chapter was good! I apologize for any and all typos!)
