Rule #2
When talking to a woman don't mention her weight or figure unless asked to do so. Really, you'll regret it.

That rule is only second to:

Rule #1
When coming in contact with a woman don't stare at her chest. She will know before you even reach a five foot radius around her.

And comes right before:

Rule #3
When communicating to a woman via text and she types a paragraph or two, don't reply with one word. Lest you want to make it to the top of her block list.

Anyway back to rule #2, about the part that says you'll regret it. You will. Unless of course, you are a strikingly handsome man with a jaw to die for and you're immune to threats and insults being spat at you from a woman that is a good foot shorter than you.

Anyone watching from the corner of the street lying diagonal of us would have mistaken me for a military drill sergeant yelling curses at her troop as she trained them to become soldiers. Heads turned at the harsh profanities that spilled from my full lips toward the man before me. Somehow the the arrogant bastard managed to look bored. Bored. I was over here giving his rich self a piece of my mind and he looked like he was about to start snoring, unfucking believable.

"If you ever make a comment like that again I will personally castrate you! I am perfectly fine with my curvy body and those who don't like it just can't handle it." I raised a challenging brow toward the irritating stranger. I took a few calming breaths after concluding my outburst and waited impatiently for the man to fall to his knees and beg for forgiveness.

Except, it never happened.

"I'm sure I could handle it just fine." His tone was low and matter-of-fact. The audacity of this guy was truly astonishing. I parted my lips once again to retort but didn't have time as he turned on his heel and walked out into the street. Seemingly unbothered by my insults and the crossing traffic, he didn't say another word.

Was this man actually insane? He's walking out in the middle of the road!

He was already halfway across the street, his gait was fast, confident, and precise as if he were the richest man in New York City. I hoped for a moment that a car would speed by and send him flying.

Unfortunately, that never happened either and he safely reached the other side.

Bodies began passing me by and I realized that the light for crossing the street had turned green as a signal to go. Quickly I moved and ran a hand through my hair as I made my way to my destination.

As soon as I walked through the large glass doors my eyes widened like those of a child who had just seen inside a candy store for the first time.

It was impressive to say the least. The ceiling was three stories high, painted a pretty pearl white. The walls were colored beautifully with a deep midnight blue. The floor was also Pearl white with gold specks and not even a piece of dirt to taint it. To the left stood desks that were made from what looked like mahogany, a deep reddish brown wood with white counter tops which were also dappled with gold specks. It was all so much to take in.

Apparently staring at the ceiling, floor, and desks while walking is a downright terrible idea.

Next thing I know I'm on the floor, papers scattered everywhere and someone breathing dangerously heavy behind me. I slowly turned with a small apologetic smile playing on my lips.

"I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" I asked hurriedly getting up before the mad woman beat me to death with her heels.

"I swear if I get fired for this you'll regret ever meeting me!" The woman seethed.

What the actual fuck? Did she just threaten me just for bumping into her?

"Help me pick this up before he comes! I swear girl I will hunt you down if you don't help me right this instant!"

Yep she did.

After staring at the crazy lady and taking in her graying hair and slightly wrinkled face I decided she was indeed mad, both mad as a hatter and so mad you could almost see steam puffing out of her ears. Hastily I swooped down and gathered the rest of the papers.

"Here you go ma'am sorry about that."

"As you should be! Now get out of my way!" The mad woman hissed as she quickly scuttled to one of three elevators on the other side of the huge lobby.

"What the hells stuck up her ass?" I mumbled and shook my head. I turned and made my way toward the front desks. Considering it was only 40 feet away it should have taken just a few seconds, but with the dozens and dozens of people scurrying all around me with almost scared looks on their faces, it took 3 whole minutes.

"Hello! My name is Kelsey. How may I help you?" A pretty lady that looked around my age with naturally red hair smiled brightly.

"Um...I'm Alissa and I applied for a spot here as a receptionist and I was told to come in this morning to start working."

"Alissa! Welcome! Go ahead and come back here through that door." she leaned over the counter and pointed to a door a few feet away.
"I saw what happened a moment ago, I'm sorry the first person you met had to be Beatrice, she takes her job....lets just say very seriously." She whispered as if she raised her voice too much the lady would come out from under the desk and strangle her.

I laughed softly "Yeah, she's great." I stated sarcastically and walked over to the door.

"...and that should be it." Kelsey concluded the tour of the front desk and how to use everything at my section with a perfect smile. "Oh! And lunch is in an hour if you want to grab a sandwich or something, I'll tell you a little about Mr.Bridwell!" she winked her eyes holding a mischievous glint.

"Sure, sounds great!" I smiled, glad that there was someone else around my age I could talk to. "See you then!" with that I waited, seated in my new comfy chair, for a call or someone that needed assistance.

Considering Bridwell was the company name the owner would have to be Mr.Bridwell right? What could she possibly have to say about my new boss?
