staying with the same partner

not just the tail
or the howls
but I love deeply
I imprint too quickly
eventually I'll find my forever mate
but for now
I haven't found another wolf
and wolves can't stay together for life
if only one of them
is truly a wolf
in the first place

just shape shifters
eating away at
whomever they can prey on
