"Hey, Voi!" Jackson yelled, darting across the trimmed lawn and onto Violet's porch.
"Hi, Jacky," she replied, letting out a sigh of annoyance as she stared at the dark haired boy in front of her.
"You got a haircut?" he said stopping abruptly in his tracks.
"No, Jacky, I grew my hair out longer," Violet said sarcastically, a mischievous smile on her face.
"You ain't got to get all sarcastic with me," he said, rolling his eyes, "but damn, Violet. You look hot."
She rolled her eyes and playfully punched his shoulder. "Do not," Violet said, shaking her head, her cheeks crimsoning red.
"Do too."
"Jacky, stop it."
"No, Violet."
"Jacky!"
They both turned to see a little boy running towards them, a bright smile on his face as he excitedly jumped into Jackson's arms.
"How are you doing, Auden?"
"Good, you! Let's go play superheros!"
"All right, all right, calm down, Auden."
"Sorry, Jacky." Auden said, a sheepish smile on his face.
"It's all good."
"Okay, let's go play superheros, now!"
"Okay."
