"I wonder what happened..."
It has been a week and we had to go back to the missions.
Natsume and I were currently being forced to wear our masks that only a teacher can take off.
Natsume's was a black cat,mine was a black fox.
The students in the dangerous class gave us a nickname. The Deadly Duo.
It's awful.
Narumi came in,making my come back from my thoughts.
He had the same grin on his face,but he was wearing narmal clothes for once. How strange...
His grin faded slightly when he looked at the two of us,but he quickly covered it up.
"Kita. Natsume. May I see you in the hall?"Narumi asks.
Natsume and I said nothing,but got up and walked out of the class.
Arriving in the hall,Narumi guided the scared substitute teacher into the room.
Narumi then came back and closed the door.
He guided us outside.
"I want to help you,you know that right?"Narumi asked.
We said nothing.
"But I can't,"he continued. "I can't do anything to help you in any way. Nothing. Why do you even do these missions?"
"To protect everyone from danger,"I simply say.
"From what?!"Narumi asks.
"From me."
Narumi turned around and seen him.
"Why are you making them do dirty work?!"Narumi's voice rises.
"That's none of your concern,Narumi,"he says.
Narumi opens his mouth to say something,but the words fail to cone out.
"Shouldn't you two be in class?"he asks us.
We nod and turn to walk back to class. The last thing we hear before we walk in the build is,"you shouldn't question what they are doing. They are doing it for the greater good."
Once we arrive at the classroom,we slump down in our seats.
No one questions us,no one says a word.
A few minutes later,Narumi walks in with a small smile,probable hoping that he won't concern the other students.
The substitute rushes from the room,not giving us a second glance.
"Well,shall we begin class?"Narumi asks.
