(Y/N) was known for her everlasting anxiety. She's always been shy, even around her best friends and parents. She'd always try to hide when people approached her, and got scared when told to approach others. It was the biggest surprise when everyone found out she was dating Stan Marsh, star quarterback of the South Park Cows. Their personalities just didn't add up.
But Stan loved her, and she loved Stan. But there were some days she doubted herself. On days like that, today for example, she wouldn't show up for class. When the teacher would ask if they saw her, they'd all say no. Today was no different.
Stan sat at his desk, not even listening to the teacher. He always would wait for Ten minutes for her to show up, just in case she was just running late. As the ten minute mark passed, his hand shot in the air. Mr. Mackey didn't even need to look at him to know.
"Yes, Stanley, You can go find (Y/N) now, m'Kay."
Stan rushed out the door and began his search.(Y/N) sat on the steps leading to the front door. Her head sat in her hands, tears flowing from her eyes. In her head were lies she told herself over and over.
"He just pities you"
"He doesn't really like you"
"TOO. SHY."
She tried to think back to when they first got together, to try and rember the reason he said yes.She sat at her desk, and for once, she wasn't listening to the teacher. She was watching the clock, and occasionly, she'd look over at Stan Marsh. In elementary and middle school, they were close enough to almost be brother and sister. However, as they went on to freshman year, Stan, and the rest of her friends, just stopped talking, and focused on more important things. Well, all accept Cartman, his mother put him in the hospital after he passed out after walking to the fridge, and so he's there. She still got texts from him sometimes. But the abandonment of her friends is what pushed her anxiety over the top. So, maybe writer lied a bit when they said she was always shy. In elementary, she was a pretty active socialist, but she was still anxious about everything, like plays and large events where everyone was watching her. Now, back to what the fuck we were talking about. It's Freshman year, only a couple days until winter break. The bell releasing students into their free period rang, and people began rushing out. However, (Y/N) stood alone in the classroom, Mr. Garrison was erasing the board, but she was able to leave before he turned to look. Walking over to Stan's locker, she saw him putting his things away. He may be a 'bad boy' and he got in trouble a lot, but he wasn't stupid. She stopped and stood, waiting for him to finish, but then her anxiety got the best of her. She turned to leave, when Stan shut his locker.
"Oh, hey (Y/N)"
With her face turning as red as a tomato, she turned around and looked Stan in the eyes, her eyes wide with surprise. Stan stared back.
"Did you need something?"
She just looked, and pulled a note out of her pocket, handing it to Stan. Then, with the speed of a devil, she turned on her heels and took off towards her locker. Stan tilted his head, about to open the note, when Kyle tapped his shoulder.
"Dude, come on! If we're late for Garrison's again, he'll give us detention!"
Stan shrugged, not really caring. He pushed on Kyle.
"Go dude, I have something to do first."
Kyle nodded and ran off. Stan turned back around, looking at his in surroundings. He opened the paper, which read 'if it isn't too troubling, could you meet me behind the bleachers after football practice today?'
Stan's face glowed, a wide smile spreading across it. He stuffed the note in his pocket, turned on his heels, and ran off towards class. After school let out, Stan met Kyle out on the field, basically bouncing in his shoes. He hadn't gotten a chance to tell Kyle yet. Stan tackled his best friend and pinned him, before laughing and getting up. He held his hand out, and Kyle took it.
Stan patted his back before remembering what he need to say.
"Dude, you remember (Y/N)? From middle school?"
Kyle looked confused, but then a smile crossed his face.
"Oh yeah! That really shy girl. What about her?"
"Well, you remember how I've liked her since we were kids, but kinda left her in the dust because of sports?"
Kyle's face fell. He rustled his red curls before answering.
"Yeah, I feel kind of bad about that. Even though she was shy, she was still cool."
"Well, she asked me to meet her after practice!"
Kyle smiled and punched his shoulder.
"Good job dude! Well, try not to get distracted during practice. Let's go."After practice ended, Stan showered and changed, then sneaked behind the bleachers. A small yelp alerted him of her appearance.
"Oh- Oh God you're already here!?"
Stan turned and looked at her, smiling.
"Yeah, sorry if I scared you."
She looked at him with shining (E/C) eyes. She slowly inched towards him, then grabbed his hand. Both faces went red. With a sigh, (Y/N) looked at him, ready to tell him her feelings. She was awoken from her flashback by someone calling her name. She looked up, teary-eyed, at the boy she was just reminiscing about. Stan rushed to her, having thought to look everywhere but where she sat now. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she buried her head back into her knees. Stan scowled, kneeling in front of her.
"(Y/N), look at me."
He took her hands and moved them, then lifted her head. Tears we're still continuing their trip down her face. He leaned in and kissed the tears off her face. His lips then traveled down to her own, enveloping her in a passionate kiss. When he pulled away, the tears had stopped, and she was back to her reality. She had Stan, who loved her very much, and she had no need to worry of him being unfaithful or losing his lasting feelings. A smile spread across her face.
"I love you, Stanley."~1073 words~
