It's been an hour since we've left the hotel and we're just chilling in the car, listening to the radio when suddenly the music cuts out and there's a breaking news story.
"There has been a man in his late 40's who goes by the name of Scott Brooks who has recently broken out of prison and is on the loose and heavily armed. Please stay away from him and if you come in contact with this criminal please call crime stoppers on this number *** *** ***"
We were all scared out of our minds. Beau had to pull over. We sat in silence for a few minutes before Luke broke the silence.
'What are we going to do?' He questioned.
So many questions were running through my mind I didn't even hear what or even who gave Luke the answer to his question. I couldn't control myself I knew he was after me and I knew he would try anything to get to me. I started shaking uncontrollably. Tyla was the first one to notice.
"Maddie, Oh My god! Maddie, Babe, calm down."
Calm down? Calm down? His he out of his mind? How would he feel if his dad broke out of jail to come and kidnap him?
By now Luke had climbed through to the back of the car to hold me in his arms.
"Maddie, you listen to me." he said to me while holding me in his arms while trying to calm me down.
"He's not going to find us okay? He's not going to take you away from us okay?
All I could do was nod my head as the tears streamed down my face.
